I think its more a case of he hasn't had the offers at the level he thought he would get, so we have said here's the same as before with more bonus increases, sign it or don't, if not we'll move on

Good stuff.

We’ve got O’Hare
Super Cal O'Hare,
Just didn't go how he'd planned,
Offered him a better deal,
because abroad didn't appeal.
We’ve got Callum O’Hare

No one get excited with this btw

But we offered one last roll of the dice a few weeks back and as of this moment it's still in play

That's not to suggest he's staying, it's just made him think twice before pen to paper elsewhere apparently
@Saddlebrains Any indication on the deadline we've given for them to answer, as presume we are waiting to press buttons on a Rudoni for example?

Would love him to stay and think it would work for him, he's had a serious injury use this fabulous platform we now have to really show yourself.

Mind you his name isn't Callum OHario and playing in the Belize Second Division so @BlueSkiesForever is probably against keeping him!
Tbh O'Hare is superior to every player that has been suggested as a free transfer that some are excited about. I do get that keeping a player doesn't tickle the same parts of the brain as signing a new player but it would be really great news.

Maybe being on the free market hasn't been quite what he expected? What you think?

He’s in a bit of a bind really.

No club is going to offer him mega wages on a 3- year contract due to his injury record.

He’ll more than likely be bit-part squad player at a lower-mid prem team, which isn’t what he needs in the prime years of his career.

Another option is going abroad - but as @Saddlebrains has alluded too, this may not be as attractive as once seemed.

And there’s joining an aspirational championship team. Which, on the face of it, we already are.

Take this with the pinch of salt it’s intended to be taken with, but if we did move Sheaf on and managed to secure some of the names floated then we could potentially be looking at a very strong and deep squad…

I'm more than happy to keep O'Hare just as long as it doesn't drag on too long. give the fecker a deadline or tell him to jog on. we cant risk being strung along and having to scramble for alternatives if he doesn't sign later in the window

No mate nothing more than it just not being as cut and dry as it seemed in May. You would assume that our cut off time for saying put up or shut up would be very soon with the window officially opening Friday

As i say, I don't want anyone to cling onto this, or assume he's going to stay because nothing up until now has indicated he wants to be here

But not signing up to anyone yet and our offer not being taken off the table is more positive than I thought it would be at this stage

Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Not sure what he’s done to deserve an increased offer since last time. Barely played, had little impact, and the market has determined he’s not worth much. I’d be reducing the offer if anything.
He certainly needs to step up if he does stay.
