Sheffield utd have made some good signings - O'Hare, McCallum and Kieffer Moore.

Don't think it's as bad a move as some are making it out to be.

Simms > Moore - considerably and with way more potential

Rudoni > COH - and that gap will get bigger as JR plays with better players in a better team, who should be superior to a lot of our opponents (ie the opposite of his last few years)

Bidwell = McCallum - bit more of a stretch, but I don’t hold McCallum in the same regard as others here (pretty sure my posting history backs that up) and Bidwell is more than good enough. McCallum has the potential advantage but when we get promoted next year we’ll just buy a better LB.

MR > Wilder - one innovative tactical move doesn’t move him that far away from dinosaur territory. I’m sure COH will enjoy the old school man management style.

And Hamer will definitely go; he left a club he loved and was loved by for premier league football. By all accounts Sheff U isn’t for him, there’s no way he stays.

I wouldn't swap Robins for Wilder, but Wilder has managed a promotion from the Championship

McCallum is better than Bidwell.

Saying Rudoni is better than O’Hare at this point is just bias showing; there’s no way you’d say that if we still had Cal and Rudoni was in L1 with Hudds.

Rudoni is going to fucking body O'Hare, the management are clearly confident in this, so should we be. Little fucker didn't even get in ahead of Palmer half the time, something i didn't fully agree with btw, but still. We move on. Clubs only heading in one direction, Sheffield Utd is a circus with some of the most gormless fans you could ever wish to meet.

The Blunt apologists on this thread sicken me. They are a shower of wankers, there's nothing to say they'll be good, they need to rebuild a whole squad, Wilder seems to be doing Wilder things... mainly just bringing in generic Championship players. He's been a hopeless manager for a few years now. Lets see shall we, maybe you should all go and stick a few quid on them.

Rudoni had a higher xG per game than COH so he clearly finds himself in better scoring positions. Yes, he missed plenty of chances but at 22, it’s fair to say he’s better than COH at the same stage of their career.

In all honesty, the COH of Dec-Feb was on another level and from then, had good moments but really disappointed. He didn’t dominate games as you’d have expected him too hence why he’s ended up at a Championship club rather than a Prem one.

Bidwell has 400 games at this level alwasy in teams that have generally competed for the play offs - McCallum has only had 1 decent season at this level with us. Good player but no evidence that he's better than Bidwell.

I stood outside the away end at brammel lane getting searched few days after we won the checkatrade with about 375 other coventry fans and was with an old disabled supporter whilst their fans were walking past giving us dogs abuse for demonstrating against our ownership at the how fixture earlier In the season .
Powerless to do anything we went down and their supporters said and I quote " we will never play you again "
Then when we played them season before last we took 2800 fans they said fuck all to our lot .. because they're shit houses.
They then give it loads after signing hamer , and now the same again with cal .

For a club that's won fuck all for 100 years and have spent less time in the top flight than coventry since ww2 , they've sure got a high opinion of themselves .

So please city , finish above these absolute drips and get promoted to the Premier league 🙏

Is it a backward step for him, though? He's gone to a club just relegated from the Prem and doubled his wages. Given his lack of any other options it's the right move for him
I think there are a lot on here saying it's a backwards step because they don't like Sheffield United. They are a big club with a big fan base just relegated and must be one of the favourites to go back up .
It would be a backward step if United were smaller than us with less potential. They're not.

Big club my arse

Go have a look at their crowds before 2007 and their promotion back to the top flight..

They've not won a trophy for 100 years

The only reason they've a higher all time average than city is because we were pillaged for 15 years

Sheffield wednesday far bigger

I'll always remember the way that they acted when we were protesting when we played them at the Ricoh, and they came across like it was some sort of vendetta against them. Kicking off, booing us etc. I can remember pretty much all of the other clubs supporting us for protesting apart from them.

McCallum has the potential to be better than Bidwell, but is coming off the back of two mixed seasons. Bidwell has consistently performed (and I’m someone who wasn’t convinced at first).

COH has played well in a dozen or so games in 2 seasons and is still returning from a major injury. Meanwhile Rudoni has been a standout in a poor team. Don’t get me wrong I’d love to have both btw.

Pretty comfortable with my views tbh.

Tbh , looking at the stats against other full backs mccallum is just better than bidwell full stop .

We really need to upgrade on jake bidwell at some point , I know fans love his very imaginative song but he's not really a great full back

Stats only provide so much insight. Bidwell has been extremely solid for us and is a dependable performer.

LB has to be next on the first team upgrade list after GK and CM. Probably next season when Bidders goes.

Not always dependable , but it's a position we should be looking to upgrade , I'm sure if we had the money we would

I love statements like this, because it could be about any position and any team in the country. 😊
