King said the Adi interview was unauthorised when it has now been proven to be authorised. Andy Turner gave him get out of jail card, and if that was the case, King was ill-informed. King said the players were the fittest they had ever been. Frank claimed otherwise. King said we are a transparent club? I cannot remember a time when information from the club has been less forthcoming and controlled. Andy Turner said King had not talked to him in 2 years.
Does anyone really believe that Robins was responsible for everything that was bad and went wrong at the club as claimed? Robins signing off on players is meaningless unless he had the final say, which does not happen in modern, elite football organisations.
I am sorry but the claim that loans are difficult by the Recruitment people is smoke and mirrors. Applies to every club in the country.
We are still waiting for the promised Director of Football.
I am a Robins fan but not a Lampard hater. I want us to be successful by playing great football.
Desperate stuff this …..

They beat Watford yesterday at Vicarage road so will be confident.

We looked lost without EMC in attack. Away from home a draw will be decent. Can’t see us going there and beating them currently. Could be another Pompey debacle so we need to be disciplined.

I think we would have struggled to play him in v Millwall. They were so well organised. Okay very defensive but did their job. Their No 6 was superb. Pushed a high line but knew when and how to drop deep as soon as ball was played.

Being an ex centre half I love these battles. Too many fans just want shots and goals rather than good football. So many fans saying it was boring. No it wasn't, it was intriguing tactically, with some great defending by both sides.

Latibeaudiere was flawless and made a couple of passes Sheaf would of been happy to dine out on.

That Lati pass to Tatsu was superb and the outcome should have been way better.

It was boring. One side sitting in a block and one side failing miserably to break them down is not entertaining football no matter how much you love the art of defending.

If this were SISU I’d believe you. But this club deserved better and got it. Now, we are certainly not the finished article, as every one of us knows. But, more fans are at matches than at any time under SISU. I wonder why? With SISU hope left the building.

Losing to 11th place Wednesday is the worst result ever, getting pumped 4-1 by second from bottom is just a blip, don't worry about it.

Were they 11th when we played them?

I never said it was entertaining. But the game isn't all about soft goals either, because that isn't entertaining either.

You seriously think the increase in crowds is because of Doug King?

Hes played a part, but the main reason is the success we've had on the pitch.

I certainly think there's more chance of us sustaining that under King than we would have done under sisu but the main drivers, were the management and the players.

Tough game and especially without a natural left winger again.

Interested to see if we try anything different considering the injury situation and the expected weather being a potential game changer.

Getting two up front sounds great, but to do that you’re either reverting back to 5 ATB or playing 4-4-2 or you’re asking the players to play different shapes depending on when we’re with/without the ball - and with only two days to work on it.

Praying for a win to at least keep some interest in the season alive. Mid table obscurity would be a boring end to the season.

Hated SISU and no one is more pleased than me they have gone.
Have always praised King for his commercial acumen, what he has done regarding off field improvements and the transfer fees he got for Vic and Gus. My concerns are regarding changing too much too quickly on the footballing side of things.
CEOs by their nature have a prepared narrative that shows them in a very positive light. Often that can involve blaming previous regimes, leaving out crucial facts or peddling half-truths. Robins signed off on all the players-almost certainly true, but no mention of his real involvement in recruitment.
I am not presenting just beliefs, I am quoting what King gave us as fact and how these facts have been refuted regarding a couple of his statements. Also the elite club model is documented as leaving the Head Coach to do what it says on the tin, coach. The transparency part is simply not being demonstrated.
The only speculative part is that Robins was at fault for everything (which is my opinion) but I find it hard to believe that one man is at fault for everything. On the one hand King says Robins signed off on all the players, the next they are a top 6 deck. I have said before Robins had a template regarding recruitment that he never moved from (except according to King) this season. Little experience, no loans and players seemingly bought because they will be developed and add value. That is not the Robins way.
I think seven years of continuous success, nearly reaching a cup final and some of the best football I have seen in my lifetime are the reason for the gates going up.
I have seen us reach a pinnacle with Jimmy Hill only for the football to turn drab and the fans drift away.
Obviously, I am a fan of Robins, Viveash, Lawrence and Boddy and felt it is important to defend their legacy.
I'm not even saying King isn't going to get us promoted eventually as that is what we all want. Fingers crossed.

I'd take a clean sheet again, away from home and shite weather.

Catch 22 playing lats LCB, we are undoubtedly more secure but our build up suffers which results in so many passes between him & Thomas as he’s not good enough to play that quick ball on his left foot. All things considered though & being away from home, I would rather take the cautious approach over seeing another Binks/Kitchen disasterclass

My line up for Cardiff.

Moved Lati to RB as worry about him versus a very direct Cardiff and allows Milan on the wing.

Milan and BTA on the wings. Just inverting how we normally play so Milan would hold the width like EMC does with Rudoni doubling up with him, while BTA cuts inside with Bidwell supporting.

King has quite a devoted little fan club on here. And yes, there are some haters.

But if you're a fan of a football club, and you're looking at it objectively, you don't want the owner making the statements King made regarding the playing side of things, he's not qualified to for a fucking start!

I mean, I'm prepared to cut him some slack. First manager he had to sack, controversial one, lot of kick back, but learn from it in future.
Whilst I've agreed with the majority of things you've said on this thread, none of us are qualified, and yes whilst he's the head of the club that knows fk all about football he shouldn't spout his nonsense publicly, we on here do exactly the same and we're not qualified either.

Are you denying it? Is this like you saying you didn't ask for robins to be sacked.

Maybe it's you who ha say cousin that posts on your account without you knowing?🤣🤣🤣

Your lack of reading comprehension isn’t my issue. I said we had one of the best scouting setups under Badlan. You as always were too thick to understand and got the wrong end of the stick. You are now too stupid to have your mistake explained and like a pigeon playing chess are strutting about like you’ve won something.

Oh I agree, but we're just a load of clowns on a message board, not the head of a football club talking to the media.

Anyway, I'm hopeful now Lampards in King will leave the football chat to him.

I'm a fan of King. I like a lot the ambition he has for our Club.
He has largely put the money where his mouth is & I think been part of the process which has provided
a better stadium for match day and presided over record average attendances.
He reminds me of the Forest owner although unfortunately nowhere near as wealthy.
Look where Forest are now !
