Not really sure why they expect much better if I'm honest, Critchley wasn't exactly a big name
One player, team and all that.13/2 to get promoted as it stands. Might be worth a tickle.
Edit: 12/1 with 365!
Pretty sure I read it was only short term to keep him ready for the World Cup. He’s a class player, but isn’t it more likely doing the bare minimum to keep match fit. Can’t see him going anywhere near any challenges. One player, team and all that.
Also still got undeniable class, but is it just training sessions to keep himself fit for Wales? He's barely played in recent years (no fault of his own, but still). Free kicks would win them a few points, no doubt he'd inspire his teammates and bring out the fans but... not sure he'd transform them all by himself.

Stick Hamer on him and smash him early.

To be honest, I was thinking either a tenner on and cash out if they start well, or a larger sum on in the hope that he signs and their odds tumble. Don’t necessarily think he could get them promoted by himself.
Will probably knock it on the head after the WC so if we can just avoid Cardiff in tomorrows fixtures announcement until at least Boxing Day that should work out OK.One player, team and all that.

Motivation would be playing for his hometown club, living where his family are, promote his businesses, generally be loved even more around the place…and continuing to play football of course. I think he probably quite likes it.Yep agreed, if Bale joins Cardiff it will be to keep him ticking over in the run up to the world cup. Might pay off but feels like he'll be super cautious not to get injuries and as mentioned above I can't see the motivation to be there in January when the season resumes
Rotherham are going to have a tough season, losing key players to League One
Sheffield Wednesday set to sign Rotherham pair Michael Smith and Michael Ihiekwe

Can see Kyle McFadzean absolutely nailing him when we play them away in October and Bale missing the World Cup
Seems incredibly cheap.Burnley have sold Pope for £10 million to Newcastle that seems a great deal for an England squad keeper
Seems incredibly cheap.
Burnley spending £4m of that Pope money on Scott Twine. Fee agreed with MK Dons.
And if they got relegated he would end up back in league oneIf Burnley get promoted, Twine will have moved from L2 to PL in a very quick space of time (3 seasons?)
And if they got relegated he would end up back in league one
Already getting annoyed with Burnley's parachute payments. The relegated teams are like playing Championship Manager.Burnley spending £4m of that Pope money on Scott Twine. Fee agreed with MK Dons.
