Wow - would have thought there would have been Championship interest for the pair of them. Not world beaters, but still have something to offer. So that's Rotherham, Birmingham plus AN other for relegation ?
Reading and Blackpool would be in the mix you'd think. I haven't checked who Reading have signed so far but i can't see them suddenly improving massively on last year (watch them make the play-offs now). Maybe Wigan too?

They've released a huge amount of players - largely down to them being forced to cut their wage bill this season by a further £5m in line with an agreed business plan with the EFL. I'm pretty sure they've only got around 10-11 senior players on the books at present.

Significant work to do and probably not a great deal to spend given to the amount of players needed. Equally, Ince is a pretty poor manager who has a reputation of not being overly committed to the role (i.e spends a lot of time on the golf course) so it'll be interesting to see how their season plays out.

I think people who are saying they have a list of scouting names for players are the same ones who watch boxing and pretend they are marking each round on a card like the judge.

Don't know about you I wonder if some judges are watching their first fight ever the scores they give.

Ambitious move from Millwall with their previous transfer record £1.2m, sticking with them, the 16yo “wonderkid” who came on against us at the Ricoh is moving to Rangers

Seem a Generally well ran club can't see them deviating too far from what they normally do .. so fair play to them

The fact of it is if another Championship club are interested we most likely can’t compete outside of the likes of Wigan, Blackpool and Rotherham.

Wigan would outbid us. Spent there way to the title last year

I know money talks, but still think we are a way more attractive proposition to a player than Wigan, Blues, Blackburn or Rotherham (you can probably add a few more to that list). That will also be the case if a club is loaning a player out, with the style of play we have.

Burnley have sold Pope for £10 million to Newcastle that seems a great deal for an England squad keeper
Some transfer values really puzzle me, and this is definitely one of those.
30yo GK and England international for £10m...absolute bargain...I mean, 30 is not old for a GK.
Ok, so he only had 1 year left of his contract with Burnley (i think), but he's an excellent shot stopper and worshipped by Burnley fans.
A great signing for Newcastle for a bargain price.

Burnley have also been linked with Tom Lawrence (alongside Norwich and unsurprisingly Middlesbrough!)
Said on another thread - just highlights how difficult it is for other teams to compete against the relegated sides with the parachute money. Burnley are like a kid in a sweet shop at the minute.
