Teams play differently. Teams that get players in the box have more chances of getting players to get assists. If they pack the box on set pieces those taking the set pieces have a better chance of getting assists.
Quite simple really.

If what you say is true, his xGA would be higher and it’s not. Frankly, his dribbling made an impression on you and I. However, his output whichever way you look at, is lower.

30 minute delay at Oxford due to an incident in the crowd.

Game is now due to finish at around 2:52, will they have to turn the sky sports+ coverage off at 2:45 due to the blackout? Interesting one.

First time I've even looked at this thread I think 🤷‍♂️

I feel like our position in the table now is about right, taking the season as a whole. I’ve genuinely always felt we’re in a group of roughly 10 teams who aren’t good enough to be challenging for the top two, but have a realistic shout of a playoff place with a bit of luck. I know people were slamming our performances in the first few months, and even panicking about the table position, but it always seemed like an over-reaction to me. I think we deserved at least 6 points more by Christmas, because quite a few very tight games had gone against us. That would have put us in a more realistic upper mid table position. So it’s pleasing that fortunes have turned recently, when we’ve taken a few more than we probably should have.

We’re properly in the mix now, and rightly so.

I have just had a look at Blackburn's fixtures - they have an incredibly easy run in from hereon in. Only Sunderland (a) and Sheff Utd a) - last game of the season (which may be irrelevant to Sheff Utd by then). Be absolutely amazed if they are not in the top 6, as the rest of the games look cherry picked for them.

Just got to hope they have a mare appointing a manager.

Have to disagree with you on their run in. They’re playing a lot of teams like us looking to get into the play offs all the way down to 13th and the rest are all fighting to starve off relegation. Don’t think it is as easy on paper.

No games are easy at this point. Also most of the league are still playing for something. Probably only 2-3 teams realistically who are neither in danger or going up. By the same logic we have 6 away games left of which 4 are the current bottom 4 in the division

If there's one thing we should have learned by now it's that there's no such thing as an easy run in, let alone an "incredibly easy" run in.

They're 4 points clear of 7th place, and I get what you're saying about all games being tough - but they've got Swansea (dire) Derby and Stoke (dire) away coming up, and if they win 2 of those 3, which I think they will, I'll be surprised if 2 teams below catch them. West Brom (with arguably better players) have a tougher run in imo. Time will tell!

Edit: I thought Luton would be in play off contention, so ignore all I've said above 🤪

End of the day they’re in a prime position compared to us. It’s all about who holds their nerve into the final game of the season .
