Outstanding / good what way?
Bayliss carried the ball well and at least tried to make productive strides forward.

Many times he achieved this, but was not supported by a lacklustre bunch in front of him.

He was outstanding compared to most of our other players, with the exception of Jody (when he was employed on the left).

JCH also tried hard but fluffed our one great chance.

Bayliss runs into a dead end a lot of the time. It might look pretty but it often goes nowhere and leaves us in the shit because he makes the wrong decision.

Not sure how we arrange the back 4 with Hyam out, imagine Thompson comes in and either he or Willis partners Davies? Really can’t afford another injury there!

Or......

Sterling at right back, Camwell at left back, or Sterling at right back, Shipley at left back.

Although not ideal there are other options.

We did not deserve to lose against Pompey.

I thought that Bayliss was outstanding, but our final pass was rushed and wasted on so many occasions.

Andreu looked good but seemed reluctant to shoot, as were a few others.

We deserved at least a draw and a draw is what i would hope for on Saturday.

I note that the appointed referee in Ben Toner.

A rather apt choice for both teams.

We didn’t deserve the draw. Pompey contained and controlled us with ease. Can’t remember their keeper being worked and it was only the JCH chance, when all around him dithered, that we looked like scoring.

Just a word of warning, our lads (100+) are out on Saturday, on the trains. Be extra vigilant around New Street and Euston. Villa and Wolves will also be knocking about.

Our lads?

Who are they? Can you name them?

Is there a Knuckles, Big Dave, Nobsy, Bogie Boy and Chopper?

Not sure why we would be at New Street unless we got the wrong train.

Disagree.

We looked good until the final third.

I never felt that Pompey controlled the game.

Both sides struggled to create much and both had one big chance.

As Robins says ‘Portsmouth took theirs but we didn’t take ours.’

Portsmouth’s victory was a smash and grab great away result.

I hope that we do the same to Charlton on Saturday .

We looked good passing it around our defence because they let us. They could have had 3 on another day to our 1.

Hoping for a win rather than expecting it. That said after 3 hours on the boat I doubt if I will be able to see straight

A win would do us good, wipe the Pompey result away and give us 4 points from the three tough games. I'm never confident of a win there though. Luckily I'm not going so we might do well - still not seen us win this season.

Mason trained today but not in the squad so our defender selection looks like this, unless I’m missing someone

Davies
Willis
Sterling
Camwell
Thompson

Wasn't Junior Brown just 7 days because of concussion?

Just realised he took the knock on Sunday, ffs!!!

Is Brown definitely still out?

If so, I’d have the following defence:

Sterling Willis Davies Camwell

Predominantly because that’s four defenders in their correct positions as opposed to Sterling at LB and Thompson/Willis RB, which would mean two out of position. Granted Camwell is a risk, but if he isn’t anywhere near then he shouldn’t still be here.

Alternatively you could put Shipley LB (although he’s then out of position).

Hasnt Camwell been on the bench for the U23 with the new lad McCallum preferred?

Unlike my 100% record. Two games two wins
