I can only comment on what I saw and it was honestly laughable and when the kids sat down to do it they could do the whole weeks work in about an hour. Like I said the head has gone and the new temporary head is younger and fresher so it may improve.

If you want extra free of charge I will gladly send it all over.

New strains happen all the time, there's already multiple strains of Covid-19 so try not to get too down about it. This sort of thing is expected and the vaccines shouldn't be impacted.

If you look back the strain that came out of Wuhan originally has pretty much gone now, think there was 8 major strains back in the summer so this is just one more on the list. Think they're over playing this as its a get out for not putting the right restrictions in place for Christmas.

Exactly, Virus's mutate it's hat they do and usually they'll mutate to be more transmittable but less deadly as virus's don't want to kill their hosts.

The government took the economic rather than health decision to put London in tier 2 and it blew up in their faces so they are using this variant as a smoke screen.

The amount of fuck ups how can anyone be certain we’ll get lots of people vaccinated....it will be problem after problem

useless cunts

you're right to be sceptical (we've been trying to tell you for ages ;)) but the program is underway now so we're getting there slowly, keep positive mate.
And a quiet Christmas never hurt anyone! Your liver will be delighted!

Do you think the vaccines will work?

People do need a place to vent though. Would rather take it out here than on the missus

My missus was pouring her heart out just now in the car, fed up, had enough, etc. Find myself constantly reminding her that it’s all of us and not a personal vendetta against her.

And of course pointing out that we’d just lost to Sheffield Wednesday.

I get that, and she probably does too. Mine has spent the afternoon a nervous wreck about the wedding and then swearing at Bakayoko for the last 30 minutes of that game

As I read that first sentence I thought it was the Wednesday result she was referring to.

I think next year is a write off man

I’m actually pretty calm about it. I’m a bit like you usually, high highs and low lows, if you don’t mind me saying. But from what I’m seeing the vaccines aren’t going to be massively affected and compare that to not knowing what the fuck was going on last April and no vaccine in sight. I’d take now over then every time. Small positives.

I was more annoyed last week when the boozers didn’t open for my birthday.

It’s absolutely awful this is with no end in sight

The end is still in sight, this doesn't change any timeframes

As has been said this is not the first new variant of Covid-19, it doesn't look more deadly.

This is down to government mistakes as much if not more than a new mutation. It's not even a new mutation either

This has put a right downer on things for me. Barely feel like I'm living just scraping by eating to make sure I don't die, going to bed to wake up and not leave the house, just existing with nothing happening and life on pause while precious time disappears. can't be fucked with it all.

Not sure I understand the question sorry, Wingy? If the new strain arises in the last few months and is more infectious it will still take time to blow up into a large number of cases.
How long from one to a thousand, compound I assume.from memory the regular strain rose from 9-1000 in Coventry across 10weeks in autumn

That's a good way of looking at it. The problem is the future is all so uncertain and nobody, least of all the politicians, really can say what next year holds. Best not to worry about things we can't control yet though.
