Individual players ratings = opponents team Glicko-2 rating + win/draw/loss averaged out for games played.

A win would be the opponents Glicko-2 rating +400 points
A draw would be the opponents Glicko-2 rating.
A loss would be opponents Glicko-2 rating -400 points.

What do you reckon?

In theory a draw against a high ranking team would be worth the same as a win against a low ranking team etc.

I'm surprised you even get thank you's, they are rare for me. I've worked in retail, distribution and security but I've not seen anything like the education sector, it's messed up. Some of the things my current school do are very wrong. The image that's given off is very different to the reality. As one headteacher was rumoured to have said "kids are just numbers".

What teachers do is often undermined by senior management and non-teaching executive figures. Haven't had any thank yous from parents or kids this year though, more just complaints about how crap it is not being able to do practicals and watching videos of experiments in random rooms. Not going to lie I'm there wanting to scream sometimes

There is absolutely no reason for you or me to work anywhere but from home. School one is tricky - think schools will be closed till 18/1

I just want the government to make these decisions Pete.

Work is using vague government guidance about “if you can” to claim I have to go in.

Should I keep my girls off to keep my Dad safe? When one of them is in her SATs year? I’ve got no faith. It feels like we’ve been intentionally confused then told it’s our job to work it out and if we don’t deaths are on us. Just total abdication of responsibility from our government.

Close the fucking schools until we know WTF is going on. We’re literally at the height of the pandemic if there has ever been cause for WFH and closed schools there’s one now surely?
