My doctors had been getting through 800-1000 people a day but they closed their vaccination service last weekend. They have said they have vaccines but are awaiting the go ahead from NHS England. Wonder if they're been held for second doses? Although if they are why not get on with them instead of enforcing the 12 week gap.I saw some talk about ring fencing the second jabs?

One of the scientific advisors was suggesting that some doses are held back specifically for second jabs while we know we have the stock
Yeah, illness, injury, bad weather (even in April) and no stretch time is, again... brave.Yep and I don’t like leaving the maximum possible time in case the appointment can’t be kept

What category are you in Torch?
Still no data on the Pfizer one that 12 weeks is OK, I think (may be since I last checked, tend to get all my hideous news from this thread atm!!), so I guess you could argue, what's a week or two between friends? What’s the relevance of 12 weeks? Is it just we don’t have data past that?

Is there any data for 12 weeks at all? I'm not sure they did any trials.
That study that came out a few days ago went to 90 days, which is longer than 12 weeks.
The AZ one? That is still in preprint and needs to be reviewed.
Biontech warn against doing the same with vaccine
Hadn’t realised we were talking about the Pfizer one. It’s a fair point, but lack of data is just that, you can’t assume either way and most of what I’ve seen generally is a longer break isn’t an issue. Manufacturers are always going to distance themselves from guidelines, they’re there as much to protect them as anyone else.
I’m happy enough with the strategy right now. It’s a risk, but a calculated one and we should know soon enough if it pays off.

Lies lies lies. Money well spent bringing her in to lead test and trace...back in October to the select committee she said "no one had anticipated a second wave"...now "no one anticipated mutations...."

She doesn’t even know why her teas gone cold to be fair.
Well they could be taking a different route/stance and going younger first, which by definition could also prevent spread and protect the old that way?Still no data on the Pfizer one that 12 weeks is OK, I think (may be since I last checked, tend to get all my hideous news from this thread atm!!), so I guess you could argue, what's a week or two between friends?
Think there is data the Oxford one is OK at 12 but, as we see with other countries, I'll be happier once there's fairly uniform agreement that's the way to go.
Yep. I appreciate I'm cautious on such things, but it makes me nervous when corners are cut, even if seemingly innocuous ones, as it makes me wonder where else they're being cut. Now, tbf, this seems to be led by the scientists (if Government were leading it, I would be VERY NERVOUS INDEED) but nonetheless, go through the procedures, even if accelerated.Though yes it would be nice to have confirmation
It's almost like she's got fuck all experience in this particular field....
Mind you, neither have I. And I predicted both.
She is a joke and sadly in the wrong position for her abilities it’s just jobs for Johnson’s pals. I am surprised I haven’t seen one of those petitions to remove here.
SBT isn’t that bad
Polling 43% though, they know they can do whatever they want.
My mother in law thinks Johnson is doing a brilliant job, even my own mother says who could have done better I just have to ignore it now it makes my head spin.
One of my team got notification today that he should hear about his vaccine date in the next 1-2 weeks.
He has only just turned 30 but does have underlying health issues.
He was very surprised and didn’t think he would hear anything until around April.
Im 39 with no health conditions. A few months back the calculator said 2022, now it says May
Can't see that being right when they're on about the 9 categories of group one being done by end of July
Zahawi was heavily implying that the top 9 groups would get first jabs by late March
Who thinks 900 is great?900 being great is part of the problem with our governments mismanagement of this
