It certainly asks to the power these organisations have over Govts along with tech giants etc. This really is amazing.
Now is it an old wives tale that if you have a cold it's not possible to pick up the virus. We've all got colds ATM, we obviously all thought we had covid lol , 4 tests each over several days , yea ...standard cold
That would be around 4 times more than regular occurance from normal infection
From full fact 397 kids between 12-17 developed myocarditis .. from 8.9 million jabs .
That's 1 in 22,418
the problem with the data is it includes 16 and 17 year olds
I think with children it should be age specific .
Separated every year to see the potential risk from 12 -15 .
For reference do we know the current percentage mortality overall for the vaccinated population?Just looked this up and this is me publicly debating with myself as much as anything not arguing with you, but 14 deaths from 9 million vaccines. Which is around 0.00015%
Of course myocarditis isn’t nothing but then I’d guess you have to compared to long COVID and ICU stays etc from COVID.
Finding child mortality data from Delta hard to find though so not sure what I’m comparing that with. Seen 0.3% reported but not clear if that’s mortality or ICU or of total deaths. Would like to see better data.
For reference do we know the current percentage mortality overall for the vaccinated population?
Just wondering if it may be comparible with that.
Like hepatitisLooks like they’re going to be making vaccines compulsory for NHS staff.
Yeah, never heard of outrage and protests about that.Like hepatitis
This caught my eye so had a look at the report on full fact. For any parents out there that may have this decision to make probably worth highlighting some other parts of the piece. From full fact 397 kids between 12-17 developed myocarditis .. from 8.9 million jabs .

The figures have been extrapolated from self reported conditions on VAERS, the US equivalent of our yellow card system. This means none of the reports have been verified by a medical professional. If you believe the data reported on our yellow card system getting the vaccination has caused several women to become pregnant so its probably wise to view that data with caution.A video on Facebook with thousands of views makes a number of claims about children and the Covid-19 Pfizer vaccine.
A voice in the video says: “In children between the age of 12 to 17 year old that took the Pfizer vaccine, we have 9,246 adverse reactions to the Pfizer vaccine…863 of those were serious events and we had 14 deaths with 397 reports of myocarditis.”
Based on these figures, the voice says: “I think you’ll agree that the Pfizer vaccine, for children, is an absolute disaster.”
This is misleading because it lacks context. The figures are from a study by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) about reported reactions after the Pfizer vaccine, but not necessarily to the Pfizer vaccine.
we don’t know that VAERS reported symptoms were caused by the vaccine. The CDC concluded that the causes of death didn’t suggest they were due to the vaccinations, but that the exact causes of deaths for some of those who died is pending extra information.
It’s true that myocarditis does seem to be a “rare serious adverse event associated with receipt of mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccines” but it has not led to any confirmed deaths in children. Because these serious reports were so rare, the CDC still recommends that children aged 12 and over in the USA should get the vaccine to help protect against Covid-19.

Must be hard making decisions like this for your kids. None of us are experts and personally I have little confidence that the government are always acting in our best interests.Il probably just delay my daughter having it , and keep an eye out for the data over here when they start doing it and make a decision then
Il feel more confident that way
Yeah it doesn’t really make any sense whatsoever. So the passports idea rears it's head again.
Wouldn't have been simpler to introduce at the outset rather than now, under the pretext that it's related to seasonal factors?

Yeah it's been warned for a fair while, almost like it was saying you can either do it yourself, or we'll... 'incentivise' you to do it.I think the timing was also due to wanting to give over 18s every chance of getting double jabbed before passports were implemented.
Has France got a media as dysfunctional as the UK...Interesting take on the French vaccine passport scheme. Seems to have done the trick for a traditionally vaccine skeptic nation.
Macron gambled on coronavirus immunity passport — and won
The French president stuck his neck out, banking that the public would support his plan. And so far, it’s been a success.www.politico.eu

Here, it really is time the government went proactive and explicit in publicising the benefits of vaccination with reference to current hospitalisations and deaths. Eg (made up) "we've got X patients hospitalised in their 30s and they are 95% unvaccinated"
All the debate about 12-15 year olds seems to assume that the rest of the population is vaccinated when it isn't the case.
Hey all
After the hardest 3 weeks of my life I am pleased to post that my wife is now HOME!

Yeah, you'd be crazy not to really (in that sense, I'm surprised this government isMy take on this is that any organization has to plan for all eventualities so it is worst-case scenario.
Given we can have terrible weather until the end of April, maybe there is sense in waiting until people are forced indoors, to make sure they last for long enough. The concern would be we haven't come close to getting the numbers down as low as last summer. The hope would be that the vaccines will mean that isn't as big a problem as last year.
Find the unwillingness to push the button on boosters odd given that we supposedly had them on order months ago so supply isn't an issue and the data from elsewhere shows it brings cases down.
You've been through the mixer mate.Wouldn't wish it on anyone. Not even Mowbray haters.
But at least now we won't take life for granted. Although after time you start to forget I guess but I have this thread to remind me lol
