Out of interest why do you think Scotland and Wales have had very little differences in COVID stats vs the U.K. despite a more stringent approach in that aspect
Regulations make little difference to behaviour TBF. The science is clear on whether they work.
Yeah that is going to have an impact; the FFP2 masks are only supposed to be worn for 8 hours before being changed.Best case scenarios I guess? Wouldn't account for the amount of people who wear them incorrectly or ones that have been stuffed in pockets for days on end and worn multiple times etc.

Even Johnson himself said just yesterday we shouldn't throw caution to the wind on Covid. So what is ending all restrictions, especially the need to isolate after a positive test, if not throwing caution to the wind?Watching Whitty & Vallance seems pretty clear they don't agree with Johnson's decision. We literally had Johnson saying no need to isolate anymore followed by Whitty saying to still isolate!
So we should be more like the Germans and stay at home if we are sick?? In Germany statuary sick pay is 100% of your wage for 6 weeks, in this country it’s £97 a week if I’ve read it correctly for up to 28 weeks.
And then they wonder why people go to work when they are poorly , if you want us to act like the Germans start paying us like the Germans you bumbling clueless fucking buffoon

It’s not like there is anyone in Government with the intellect to see the connection between looking after your staff when they are poorly or in need and increased levels of productivity….So we should be more like the Germans and stay at home if we are sick?? But we all know the working man is lazy and you can't give them help or they'll bleed you dry. Tough love, that's what's needed! People perform at their best when they're desperate. It’s not like there is anyone in Government with the intellect to see the connection between looking after your staff when they are poorly or in need and increased levels of productivity….
he is taking a close look at where he can cut the size of the state... Now, it is a priority to restore a smaller state – both financially and in taking a step back from people’s lives. It’s time to return to a more enabling approach. To trust the people, return power to communities, and free up business to deliver.
Ending restrictions while infections are still high is fucking stupid and yes it was clear Witty and Vallance agree it is fucking stupid.
When do we ever end them then?
What is the criteria to claim sick pay in Germany? If full for 6 weeks then there must be a stringent process to confirm you are actually sick rather than claiming to be from a sniffle or faking mental health issuesSo we should be more like the Germans and stay at home if we are sick?? I can't help but feel people in the UK would wrongly take the piss. I agree it should be much higher than it is but you would want something in place to confirm one is actually sick

Yet you still can't visit anyone at UHCW and my Dad, who is in end of life care, can only have limited visits.Compulsory Covid jabs for care home staff scrapped
Regulations requiring care workers to be vaccinated against Covid are being lifted from mid-March in England.www.bbc.co.uk
Sorry to hear that mate, hope you’re doing ok.Yet you still can't visit anyone at UHCW and my Dad, who is in end of life care, can only have limited visits.
The 'state of emergency' is ending in Italy at the end of this month with most restrictions expected to be removed by Easter, hopefully. Goes to show that amazingly restrictions weren't part of some weird global agenda and were actually because of a pandemic.Bit depressed about the war, so I thought I'd finish my dinner time reading by catching up on the old covid.....
...Turns out that despite the huge spike in cases in Dec & early January, Excess deaths in the UK remain negative so far in 2022.....
I know its a limited snapshot, but thats less people dying than would normally be expected in the same period before covidleaked out of the wuhan labwas a thing...
So some light at the end of a tunnel......lets just hope that light is not a nuclear meltdown.....
It’s not disappeared, there’s widespread immunity that’s been built up though which is helping to reduce restrictions.Amazing isn't it that it seemed to disappear as soon as the war started.
Shows just how much shit the media whip up
