Agree, it used to be called trade unions, watered down for years not just the Tory years either, as have workers rights especially in the last ten years and about to be eroded further now we are out of the EU.Hopefully when this is all over one of the things that will come out of it is a look at how employees are treated and how one sided things can be.
I know you changed to a fixed term position but the number of people who aren't considered permanent employess and have been left to sort themselves out in this mess should be a bit of a wake up call. You've got huge industries where it seems technically nobody is actually employed!
They didn’t refuse to join the EU some administrator fucked it up which is poor tbf

He issues a range of graphs every day covering a variety of areas, there are a lot of variables. The original graph is up there in its glory every day- log scale was always the best way and still is.

Has he managed to avoid getting it?
That's basically the response I got when I raised it.Definitely one of the conditions is that you perform no work but I doubt there will be any checking up so I’m sure they’ll get away with it!

Not me .Has anyone received one of the 33 million letters he said he was going to send out?
.. at a cost of £6m and telling everyone things they already knew?

As always with these things you end up in a tricky position as an employee as if you push back too hard you're viewed as a troublemaker, particularly if some of the other furloughed staff are happy to do whatever they are told no questions asked.
Not seen the interview you're referring to but aren't people mixing up different tests? The one people are angry about is testing to see if people currently have it. So you've got a quarter of NHS staff sat at home with symptoms who could be tested and if negative return straight to work.People are shouting they want tests here and now but then shouting that they don't work.

I thought I was alone.
Was this to business owners ?Has anyone received one of the 33 million letters he said he was going to send out?

I just think the way in which we have gone about testing has been a complete failure and shambles

I assume the test the '3 out of 4 wrong' is an antibody test which is what they are hoping to make available to the general public to take at home which will show if you've ever had it and if you have the theory is you would now be immune.

If only it were just the testing they got wrong.

Would you mind if I PM'ed you some questions either today or over the next few days?

I'm not 100% but he said there was a risk of sending doctor's back to the front line who had it so I assumed it was the one for NHS staff. Not seen the interview you're referring to but aren't people mixing up different tests? Nearly criticism. Things must be badI just think the way in which we have gone about testing has been a complete failure and shambles
We had 2 months to prepare after the first cases were known and communicated. We ignored every single warning, and ignored all the events in all other countries. We knew what was coming in January, we even warned against travel to China. But we did nothing else, then you had the macabre exhibition in incompetence that was "take it on the chin", "let it rip through the country", "herd immunity". SInce then we have failed to test, failed to protect health workers, failed to lock down when recommended to, failed to procure equipment, lied and bullshitted about it every step of the way- they have failed in so many areas you'd be better off asking what they've got right. I guess building a giant hospital/ morgue is about the only thing in that category.
They knew in early January what this thing was and what it was likely going to do, they were told.
