They could have reacted much better and much more quickly . Put up clear protective screens between the drivers and passengers. Minimal contact. It's all pretty much pay with no change given anyway isn't it.Their employers have by not taking action to protect them
It's tragic that so many drivers have lost their lives.
I've said something similar about my wife and her job. She works at a shop.
I said to her, instead of letting customers just wander around the store, they should have set up temporary barriers and gone back to the old corner shop way of shopping, where customers come in, say what they want at a distance and the assistant goes and gets the stuff for them. I have been saying it for weeks now.
I think we could have reduced contact with people in many, many professions.
