So many dodgy car washes open, it's alright having them clean it out but when they cough or sneeze in your car and you get in what do you expect.

Surprised the police aren't shutting them down
Because the likes of these frothers on here would start screaming racism.

And of course there are others who think criticising the government is unpatriotic

Labour backlash: Peston savages Keir Starmer after 'inappropriate' attack on Boris in PMQs
I think there’s a lot of Express spin on the headline. If you watch the footage I think he was basically quoting Boris as a way of asking the question. I wouldn’t say he was savage and Anneliese Dodds reply was very well structured and shot it down. Just the Express desperately trying to whip up cynical hysteria because their boy had his pants pulled down.

It's the Express, the story and video card very different.

So. After Boris’ big Sunday address and all the noise he made about the “R” number, now it’s already going up in today’s briefing It’s been stated that apparently the “R” number is not the focus. It’s the comparison charts all over again.

While I am all for staying lockdown and think they have rushed raising restrictions and please correct me if I am wrong , but has the R number slightly increased because of the care home situation?

They've put up fares, raised the congestion and emissions charges while extending hours and adding weekends, stopped free travel for children and are bringing in charges for over-60s at peak times.

Bizarrely despite all those things being conditions put in place by the government they're trying to blame it on Khan.

Weeks of Wittey talking about how important the R number is. R number goes up as many predicted it would and suddenly the government are saying the R isn't important.

They're treating people like complete idiots, sadly there's a lot of people just accepting what they are told.

I’ve just had a letter from my lads school saying the prospect of them opening to more children is ALL about the R number. So which is it. Fucking windmilling bastards this lot. And I don’t mean the school.

But are failing and being laughed at. Khan probably needed to do some of that to keep tfl running but didn't want to for political reasons.

Now he just says 700 million a year cut in funding and a 94 percent drip in fares matw

It's not even gone up as a result of the relaxed lock down rules. It's 3 week old data. That's still to come.

It's ridiculous. He knows it going back up should lead to reintroducing lockdown but that stops the economy starting again which I imagine a lot of his party are looking for. So got to find a reason to continue on this path.

I've heard it had something to do with the care homes, but it's way too quick to be part of the 'back to work' part. With the time lag it *may* be linked to the May Day bank holiday when a few people got silly and didn't maintain the lockdown rules as well as the could.

So end of the month the relaxing will be apparent in the figures and I think it's going to be very unpleasant reading and another thing to add to the case for incompetence of this government.

It's just becoming a joke. How can there be anyone left in the country who can't see they treat people as completely stupid if they put stuff like that out and expect it to be accepted as true?

These people (and some post on here) are so heavily invested in backing what the tories do, and, so as to not lose face I think, they just ignore it or look to excuse it.

Case numbers are to R what debt is to deficit. Seems odd to focus on the effect rather than the cause.
