What a strange country we live in .
So many international news segments showing coffin's and burials .
I think I've seen one shot of o morgue .
A few interviews with bereaved families And the odd clap when a hearse has been driven past colleagues .
Talk about airbrushing.
I was thinking about this myself, remember all the clips from ICU in Italy etc? Haven't seen much of the equivalent here.

It feels like the doctors in Italy were trying to portray the seriousness of it so other countries could learn and do it better....

So we do what we do best. Deny it.

So why choose to post a picture of a protest regarding the systematic racism that is endemic in society and not of the white families having a jolly on a beach.

Why did you post the photo on the beach, but not the Hyde Park photo.
Not everything everyone posts is race related.

The point is people are dying. A load of us have made sacrifices that are way beyond normality, but there are, it seems some sections of the public who don't give a shit.

The other point to make is that it presents an open goal for this useless government to pin the blame for the massive death rate on the public

Well having just watched Dispatches get ready for the blood that will be spilled between the Govt and the Scientific community .
The ignorance of the PM in the early stages of this is utterly staggering .

Anyway, if anything sums up the ridiculous dogmatism of Rees Mogg and co, it's this spectacle:

The government is an utter embarrassment.

What are the actual rules at the moment. I've lost track with the way they randomly keep changing things.

I'm assuming as he was symptomatic he should have been self isolating but now that he's tested positive does that mean that those who came into contact with him have to isolate as well? Would have thought so otherwise track and trace, as badly as it is implemented, is pointless.

Yep, and I'm sure they'll pin the blame on anyone but themselves.
Trouble is, a lot of people will swallow that shit. I've had many an argument, at work, and with family about this. People don't like to think they're being fucked over. Especially by the ones they elected.

apparently 25000 track and trace staff have tracked and traced just 2000 people in the last 3 days. #worldbeating

I wonder if you done a graph of the governments approval rating and overlayed it on a graph of reported cases of people saying “would you rather live in Italy” they’d be linear?

Would you rather be in Italy?

Taking back control

The EU are making a mess of this crisis

We're better off out of it

Etc etc

Its even worse when you consider our population is around 65-68m and the rest of europe combined is around 450m.

I still can’t get my head around anyone thinking they’ve done a good job.

I don’t think he should go ‘yet’ but he needs to get some sort of grip on this situation, it’s like nobody is listening and the country is becoming closer to financial collapse each day, we also need to get a massive grip on PPE and testing as it’s a mess

One thing I do admire is the furlough scheme, incredible from the government

Personally I think we’re in big trouble now. We can’t stay in lockdown any longer as too many businesses are struggling but we haven’t got cases low enough to come out of lockdown without a second spike. If a second spike occurs will we be able to afford to go into lockdown again? Test and trace is going to have to carry a hell of a lot of work and it doesn’t sound fit for purpose and the way everything else has gone you’d assume it will break under the slightest pressure.

Deaths seem to be plateauing at a pretty horrifying 300-400 and we're quarantining people from countries with barely any new infections. Johnson has got to fall on his sword for this, I don't mind a more level headed Tory taking charge.
Haven't all of those been purged?

It comes to something where I long for Jeremy Hunt in charge, but he's been marginalised too.

I always considered him to have too many ties to the private health care industry.
But of course Hancock has as well and is an absolute cretin so Hunt would probably be the lesser of 2 evils which appears to be where we are now with politics.

Time for a May / Starmer coalition!

Theres bound to be a 2nd wave now after thousands of arseholes gathered together yesterday in London and around the country. Mostly made up I guess of the I havent got a fucking clue what I'm protesting about but lets jump on the bandwagon brigade. What's the fucking point of lockdown? I guess it wont get mentioned though as what Cummings did was far worse as hes a nasty Tory blah blah.
Also,a touchy subject for a few on here(god knows why) it was a record day for illegally entering the country via the channel yesterday. 166 people I believe with over a 140 which were young men. Funny as a few on here are adamant that they're mostly women and men. We're in the middle of a pandemic so who knows what this lot are bringing in. I'm sure tony, ian and the likes of nw will offer to house them though? Well after yesterday's shenanigans I guess it doesn't matter now.

There's also been loads of arseholes going to the beach or Brighton pier though yes the mass protests yesterday also had them.

We all know your solution to those trying to get in across the Channel. Should we have shot their dinghies?

Firstly - you have a point about mass gatherings and the effect they could have on the spread of the virus. I don’t know how you protest whilst remaining socially distant. Lockdown was ended by the government and their ‘leading by example’ actions. And as Brighton said - there have been lots of other examples of mass gatherings on beach and parks by people of all ages, skin colours and political persuasions.

Secondly - I didn’t realise you were personally provided with the data on their individual circumstances. I assume you’ll know if they are people that are claiming asylum, or refugees. But you won’t care regardless. You just see what you want to.

Im not sure Lockdown was ended by the government, was it? People have been flouting it all the time but as long as it's to show solidarity to somebody or another it's got a pass.

People crowded onto a bridge with Paramedics and it was fine, go to an empty beach or want to sit in a beer garden and you kill your granny.

I asked you before, can you link where people said any of those things are fine?
