They're getting absolutely desperate to deflect blame. Anyone who has been paying the slightest attention to the figures knew there were issues with accuracy, its not something that's been hidden. Its the reason most people are looking at excess deaths as the most accurate figure.

I see a false flag is being raised about covid deaths being recorded where they reckon the person died of something else. It is being stirred up by Hancock etc and lapped up by morons.

Concerning really if we're all compelled *despite* scientific advice.
I do get that it's pretty catastrophic if we all end up out of work as a result of this, but I also don't see why you wouldn't keep social distancing measures in place throughout the winter anyway. If numbers are still low at that stage then happy days, might be able to relax a little.
But why on earth risk us all going into meltdown / lockdown again? Surely that'd be worse for the economy than mitigation and a slowing?

I still don't really have any idea of what I'm returning to in September.
I was talking to a mate about this the other day, he’s a bit of a Dom in that he thinks Boris can do no wrong only he should be old enough to know better. I was saying that there’s been no real government planning for the reopening of schools, no planning on how to reduce class sizes etc. He said what do I expect the government to do so I reeled of using public spaces such as libraries, using local facilities such as church halls for extra classroom space, fast tracking student teachers through to increase the numbers of available teachers to increase the numbers of available classes, asking teachers to delay retirement, asking teachers newly retired to return for the same reason, to start a program now of building temporary classrooms to go on playgrounds and playing fields pointing out that we built nightingale hospitals in weeks why can’t we do this for schools for September. The main point I was making was that these decisions needed making now or in reality weeks ago but the government are impotent in forward planning. Now we have Boris telling everyone things will be back to normal by Christmas. How? There’s no plan to achieve this it’s just a detachment from reality. Typical of this government, just carry on in the hope that an answer is going to fall in their laps.
Not sure what your school are doing but ourI’m just not going to look at email until I absolutely have to. Your ideas could possibly work for primary schools but for secondary school lessons in practical subjects we really need the facilities. Plus with the shit behaviour of a fair number of students you’d just end up with more workspaces getting trashed. To be honest, if the new normal is even harder than the old one I’ll start looking for a way out.

Not sure what your school are doing but our
is doing the following:
Kids in Year group bubbles and in a specific zone within the school so they only ever go in 8-10 classroom apart from PE which is only outside. They come to school in PE kit the days they have it. Drama, Music, DT are classroom theory only - no practical.
Teachers are assigned to Key Stage silos (KS3 or KS4/5) so you can teach multi-year but not across key stages to reduce contamination. They have planned for no social distancing between kids (as it’s impossible to suggest they can) but adults have to do so with children and with each other. Staggered breaks and lunches in different zones so no groups interact with cleaning time between.
We have quite a strong union presence within school so they have been involved in these plans to keep staff as safe as possible. We have a couple of teachers that are still very at risk so they are staying at home and teaching KS5 only remotely.

That’s shit - your School should have tried to give you some kind of info as to their approach to put your mind at ease.I don’t know what my school is doing because they haven’t said. Teaching science I’m kind of petrified about how I’m going to do class practicals with this stuff in the background and thinking more about not trying to make a COVID mistake than teach properly. It’s giving me anxiety just thinking about it to be honest
