What if only 63k needed testing that day? I'm not saying the numbers the other day were truthful, but someone from my work went to get tested at the Ricoh, said no one was there. (maybe everyone went to St Andrews instead) but you cant test people aren't there
Why say they are going to test 100k people a day then?

This is a party political broadcast on behalf of the Labour party.

Just like we knew that a pandemic was going to happen so should have stockpiled everything needed. But the truth is we hadn't had a pandemic for over 100 years. And those same people ignore that Labour didn't prepare for one either.

It is better to be able to test more than needed than not be able to test as many as needed as previously.

Most people still working are allowed to be tested. But most won't bother.

Just read an article about how people are feeling guilty for circumventing the social distancing rules:
www.bbc.com/news/uk-52501417
What got me was this sentence:
"We haven't got razors, clippers or anything like that so cutting it myself just wasn't an option. Mum is in touch with this underground network of hairdressers who have been working from home."
"Underground network of hairdressers", who would have ever thought such a thing could exist!

Then why is there so many people on social media saying they can't get a test? Why is there people booking tests to find the only option is to go to a testing centre hours away? Why are people turning up at testing centres at the booked time to find there is no staff?

They haven't even tested most of people who they said would get tested in care homes as the staff aren't allowed to administer the tests

It is but there's members of the press doing it, Nadine Dorries gloating, it's a joke.

It's like when Johnson stood up the other day and said the government's handling of the crisis had been a success and hardly anyone challenges him on it. Country's fucked
But mad nad is a joke to both the left and right.

Would not worry what see says

I'm interested to know more detail of how you believe the response to Covid-19 to be the fault of Labour?

It was under a Labour government that the National Risk Register was created which highlights the dangers of a pandemic. Then in 2009 there was the swine flu pandemic. An independent review was carried out into the governments response and it was found to be "proportionate and effective" although there was a warning that future governments should not be complacent.

We then move to 10 years of the Conservatives, starting with the coalition. During that time they brought in the Health and Social Care Act 2012 despite warnings the changes being made to the NHS would lead to it being unable to cope with things such as a pandemic outbreak. Following that they carried out Exercise Cygnus to test the countries preparedness for a pandemic outbreak and completely ignored the results, of course it was originally supposed to take place in 2014 but the government postponed it.

Down to 56,397 people tested in todays figures. Still no home testing kits available on the booking site as it seems they sent out thousands to Conservative party members to fudge the numbers.

Again for a Labour supporter you seem very quick to jump on Labour's back.

Fact is we did the Operation Cygnus in 2016 that highlighted these deficiencies and never acted upon them. At what point has Labour been in control since them to rectify the situation?

Personally I reckon if Labour had been in we'd have still not sorted out the shortfall and been in the same position as we are now. But we can never know. So all we can criticise is those that have had the opportunity and that is the Tories.

Because they have capacity to test 100k a day.. but only 63k needed to be tested that day

Right. One of the Hancock excuses. Given that when the testing website went live it broke after a few minutes due to demand suggests people want testing. And how many health workers do we have? If you have spare capacity get them to get tested as they're the most at risk. Or get them round to the care homes. There is no such thing as not having enough people who need to be tested.

No positive posts about how deaths and positive cases are falling, just the same negative comments all weekend from the same individuals

We’ve passed the number of deaths in Spain and caught up Italy who we had a two week head start on. What positivities do you what to celebrate exactly?
Hardly celebrate is it? Just maybe have a look and see that we are beating the virus and things are begging to look better instead of constant negativity.... it’s like a thread of piers Morgan’s

How are we ‘beating’ it? We are hiding from it, we haven’t beaten anything.
How are we hiding away from it??? Contact tracing, lots more testing by the end of this month providing we do another 3 weeks lockdown we’ll have got it under control like Spain and Italy

How are we hiding? Yeah there’s this thing called ‘Lockdown’, you may have heard of it, nobody can go anywhere, everyone has to hide indoors and everything is shut.

as for the rest of it, they’ve fucked everything up, we are the worst in Europe and we are miles away from having it “under control”.

We have been under lockdown and it’s working? Yeah it hasn’t been as strict as other countries but we’ve still flattened the curve, will be interesting to see how we look in 2 weeks hopefully we’re doing as well as Spain and Italy now are

Well if you look at where they were a few weeks ago to where they are now, all the work locking down has paid off! Stop trying to be a smart arse you bellend

I don’t need to try, I’m actually holding back because I genuinely feel a bit sorry for the way you clutch at any old horseshit looking for good news.

Funny that you couldn’t reply to my point though ain’t it

nope, it’s not. You don’t have a point, half the time you’re banging on about Boris, acting the twat pretending we completed 100,000 tests, furiously deleting posts that show you up, or seemingly on the verge of weeping through fear. I’ve never actually seen you make a coherent point- therefore there isn’t much to come back on.

I don’t think things improving is ‘any old horseshit’ tbh, not sure why you’d suggest that

keep trying
I’ve been critical over the governments respond to this, the PPE shortages, the shit amount of tests done before the last few days......but I’m trying to be positive as things seem to be falling here and elsewhere, everything doesn’t have to be so negative all the time, yes there will rightly Be an enquiry after all of this is under control but until then we need to stick together through this instead of point scoring at every opportunity it’s embarrassing
