Anybody else getting paranoid? I have a bottle of Dettol at the front, as soon as I get in I wash my hand then go round with a bottle of Dettol to disinfect the surfaces I've touched between entering and washing hands.

I wouldn’t say paranoid - but I’ve never been so aware of how much I touch my face generally without even thinking about it.

I think when this is over we’ll all be far more aware of the principal of hygiene - might help us ward off general illness more frequently.

I keep seeing people shaking hands and greeting each other with hugs on TV , programmes obviously made before all this kicked off. It seems weird. I keep thinking "Nooooo ! "

The krautz have now banned groups of more than two.
You're fucked if you're a single parent needing to go to the shops with two young kids.

My greedy elderly neighbour has clearly been stockpiling since she self isolated two weeks ago.
There’s now 12 bottles of milk on her doorstep that she hasn’t even bothered to bring in.
Strangely enough, my milkman was talking about this the other day. He might just knock her up.

Swine flu - Just read that between 11-21% of the worlds population contracted this
up to 575k deaths
I dont remember anything of that really - no panic, nothing
are we really going to get that many cases or that many deaths this time ? if not what is different

Not trying to be dismissive now, genuinely interested as why I do not remember any panic in 2009

It’s a ploy to bring in a totalitarian regime across the world to order everyone about

Yes. My cousin is currently in Cape Town South Africa. He tells me that a huge percentage of the population there is already HIV-positive and others have TB. They have no chance of surviving. I heard a story that one couple there ran out of a hospital after they tested positive for corona as they couldn't possibly pay the medical bills.

That's been my perspective from the start and, like you, I don't at all mean to be dismissive. Possibly we aren't quite getting the logarithmic impact of SARS2 as being twice as infectious.

mortality rate. swine flu 0.02% vs expected coronavirus 1%.
Swine flu lasted around 18 months. If same approach as there was with Swine flu then you don't even want to contemplate the number of deaths over 18 months.
Hopefully point is Govts have learned something from Swine Flu and that is why earlier action was taken in comparison to 2009

Saw an example at the WE .
From initial source over roughly 100days would lead to around 13-14M without distancing/,isolation etc.

According to her husband, Linda Lusardi is "at death's door" from Corona, aged 61. Hope she pulls through.
But the CovTel article about the 18 year old lad dying "after testing positive for coronavirus" is fake news - his death was unrelated to the fact that he had Covid-19. That sort of story we do NOT need!

Matt handjob has just announced in the commons that death certificates will be able to be emailed to the next of kin etc.
Print at home.
...bloody hell.

Keep plodding through it. It might help if you described some of your symptoms. The suggestion what it is mild is the bit where people get confused.
Started with a constant cough, annoying but you can get on with it however this was when I started self isolation, few days of this with a high temp (going hot n cold) then a day break where it was just the cough, felt great and even did some miles on the bike. Day after cough returned heavily, breathing struggling, a large pain shooting constantly across the top of my head accompanied by what can be described as an electric shock coming from my ears every 15 seconds and sore eyes. Sensitive to light and sound, i tried to clear some plates and the sound broke me. The cough then hits all of them at once with a huge bout of pain. Paracetamol and lemsip help but it’s a rough ride
