@Covstu Not belittling what you are going through, and sounds fucking horrible, but do you know if you have had Covid-19, or could it just as easily be influenza? Did you have the flu vaccine back in the Autumn.

Started with a constant cough, annoying but you can get on with it however this was when I started self isolation, few days of this with a high temp (going hot n cold) then a day break where it was just the cough, felt great and even did some miles on the bike. Day after cough returned heavily, breathing struggling, a large pain shooting constantly across the top of my head accompanied by what can be described as an electric shock coming from my ears every 15 seconds and sore eyes. Sensitive to light and sound, i tried to clear some plates and the sound broke me. The cough then hits all of them at once with a huge bout of pain. Paracetamol and lemsip help but it’s a rough ride

That sounds thoroughly shitty.... take care of yourself. Has anyone else in your household picked it up from you?

To be honest, had the flu numerous times and never lasted two weeks and this aggressive. Until I’m tested I will never know but just going by what 111 had said

The government were clear from the off to adhere to the 2m social distancing rule but unfortunately we have a large number of selfish twats that didn't take this seriously.

I don't think we were too late to react, I think we had to be tougher for the sake of the country.

Unfortunately there will still be wankers that won't keep their 2m distance so I hope the police issue large fines on them (£100 shall do)

Right? Like how the government don’t employ police and courts and just ask people nicely to not commit crimes!

Oh no, wait. That’s a ridiculous idea and would be a dereliction of their duty to protect citizens. Turns out being in government actually involves doing stuff and not just making waffle filled statements and hoping everyone’s a good chap.

I've been given at least 4 weeks off now,

Got a email of my boss last night around half 10, telling us too stay put, I can't do my job from home,

Cashed in my token to leave the house for a walk this morning and was surprised to see little has changed, very irresponsible.

Nothing has changed has it. Still people packed into trains and tubes, still queues at supermarkets. I'm sat at home working and can see loads of people walking / driving past. Sure they aren't all going somewhere essential or using their daily exercise allowance.

Don't think Gove helped this morning. Confusing messages that have had to be clarified and saying places like construction sites are fine to open.

That last paragraph doesn't bode well for the idea that Richie is coming to the rescue of the 5,M self employed .
Who I will add a fair proportion are not , sole traders, partnerships or limited companies.
Fake use of these masks across construction, automotive design exhibitions etc .
People working For the same people for years.

I can't see anything other then a full scale lockdown, no leaving the house under any circumstance. All people had to do was not be a bunch of cunts, and they can't even do that.

I'm currently at work as I am the first point of contact for around 1000 tenants on a highrise council estate, it's quiet but still people pottering around, junkies bouncing around the blocks looking for their smack and the local alchies in the shop getting their cheap booze and no one sticking to the 2 people 2 metre rule

I think it will get to the stage before very long of issuing travel permits to "essential workers" and no-one else can use public transport (particularly the Tube), especially at rush hour.

My car MOT runs out on 30th March, was booked into a local garage this Friday, but received a call from them earlier to say they are now closing, have rung round a few but to no avail, I'm hoping they extend MOT's by three months, so I can go and get essentials when required.

I cannot get a slot for love no money. It's not even for me, it's for my 90 year old dad.

Sainsburys sent me an email the other day with this info if it helps.

Many of you have also asked me about priority online delivery slots for elderly, disabled and vulnerable customers.

We have been able to identify a number of customers as elderly and vulnerable based on the information they have given us previously. These details would include date of birth and if you have ever used our vulnerable customer helpline. For all of these customers, we will email you today (Sunday) with information on when slots will become available.

If you do not receive an email and you consider yourself to be vulnerable, please visit our Groceries Online website on Monday for information on how to contact us. We are also working as quickly as possible on an option for people to register themselves as disabled and vulnerable on their online shopping accounts.

Mine's due in April - haven't booked it in yet. If I can't get it booked anywhere, I shall continue to drive it if I have to!

I'm off to the shop for some milk. First time I've left the house since Friday afternoon.

"Garages are allowed to remain open under the new restrictions. MOTs have been suspended for lorries, buses and trailers for up to three months, and MOT testing for cars, motorcycles and light vans is under review"

Sainsbury's seem the best for vulnerable people, I was trying them all to see if even click and collect was an option for the next three weeks (nope) but Sainsbury's didn't let me even have a look because I didn't qualify as vulnerable. Good on them, and the nicest thing anyone's said about me for ages

Wonder how you get registered as vulnerable? My parents would both come under that and used to have a weekly Sainsbury's shop before all this started but can't get anything booked in now.

Means tomorrow I'm going to have to try and do their shopping for them which I'm not looking forward to.
