Swine flu - Just read that between 11-21% of the worlds population contracted this
up to 575k deaths
I dont remember anything of that really - no panic, nothing
are we really going to get that many cases or that many deaths this time ? if not what is different
Not trying to be dismissive now, genuinely interested as why I do not remember any panic in 2009

Good to see they're worrying about things like this rather than PPE for medical staff or making sure people can get food.Matt handjob has just announced in the commons that death certificates will be able to be emailed to the next of kin etc.

...bloody hell.
No, it’s now day 12 and still no change. So painful!did they say how long until it clears?
Started with a constant cough, annoying but you can get on with it however this was when I started self isolation, few days of this with a high temp (going hot n cold) then a day break where it was just the cough, felt great and even did some miles on the bike. Day after cough returned heavily, breathing struggling, a large pain shooting constantly across the top of my head accompanied by what can be described as an electric shock coming from my ears every 15 seconds and sore eyes. Sensitive to light and sound, i tried to clear some plates and the sound broke me. The cough then hits all of them at once with a huge bout of pain. Paracetamol and lemsip help but it’s a rough rideKeep plodding through it. It might help if you described some of your symptoms. The suggestion what it is mild is the bit where people get confused.
Appreciate it fella, wouldn’t wish this on a villa vanSorry to hear that mate.
However, it is only when more stories like this come out where people you know are getting it that the penny will finally drop and people will start listening to the advice and stop being dicks.
Hope you feel better soon.
Hope you're over it soon CS.Appreciate it fella, wouldn’t wish this on a villa van

Wife was ill for a few days but a lot brighter thankfully. Kids are fine which is a godsend at the momentThat sounds thoroughly shitty.... take care of yourself. Has anyone else in your household picked it up from you?
To be honest, had the flu numerous times and never lasted two weeks and this aggressive. Until I’m tested I will never know but just going by what 111 had said@Covstu Not belittling what you are going through, and sounds fucking horrible, but do you know if you have had Covid-19, or could it just as easily be influenza? Did you have the flu vaccine back in the Autumn.
As well as a very selfish nation
The government were clear from the off to adhere to the 2m social distancing rule but unfortunately we have a large number of selfish twats that didn't take this seriously.
Oh but we never actually said we were going to defy Boris' advice ...Backtrack.

I don't think we were too late to react, I think we had to be tougher for the sake of the country.
Unfortunately there will still be wankers that won't keep their 2m distance so I hope the police issue large fines on them (£100 shall do)

Nothing has changed has it. Still people packed into trains and tubes, still queues at supermarkets. I'm sat at home working and can see loads of people walking / driving past. Sure they aren't all going somewhere essential or using their daily exercise allowance.Cashed in my token to leave the house for a walk this morning and was surprised to see little has changed, very irresponsible.
That last paragraph doesn't bode well for the idea that Richie is coming to the rescue of the 5,M self employed .Nothing has changed has it. Don't think Gove helped this morning. Confusing messages that have had to be clarified and saying places like construction sites are fine to open.
Tbf, you can hardly blame the government, even when they did hit the panic button, hardly any fucker listened.
Same guy who wanted the pubs to stay open , heartless cockwombleTim martins decided to not pay staff , I’m going to not give weatherspoons my custom anymore
