Just got back. Shocking moments from Grimes, Kitching and Collins. If we get in the play offs - my preference is Burnely out of the top 3 - quite unimpressed with them I expected more.

Wilson has to start now, Collins confidence must be shot. Imagine the flash backs he’ll get when he sees the Pompey shirts on Wednesday!

I'm sorry I don't know what has gone before but the fault was with Rudoni who didn't take the easier option of Sakamoto and opted for Grimes I think, who misplaced his pass and the howler resulted from there.
It struck me at half time and after no attempt was made from the north stand to get behind the goal keeper no rapport nothing And then his position out of goal was driving me mad.
I think I have to say that on the showing of the last to game's has been an admission by Frank that he doesn't wish for us to be involved in the PO's and is showing other tendencies, whether that's here with us I'm not sure!

Where we're our subs GK especially not giving him instructions encouragement from the touchline also till about the 80 minute And why did Frank delay that throw in and wait so long to make changes, seems to me the wrong sub was made it should have been EMC for me and at least 15-20 minutes earlier!,there was no need to change midfield IMO certainly not for Allen who went straight down the tunnel.

I get that they’re getting results and up the top of the table but imagine having to watch that every week.

Team full of arse holes aswell, that hanibal sarcastically clapping at the end. No wonder they never sold out their full allocation

He’s not expecting Collins to be where he is and rightly so. It’s on Collins to communicate with his defence-his fault all day.
Agree fully. Collins is looking forward and can see everyone. Kitch can’t see behind him. Collins has to command and take charge. No excuse here for Collins dithering.

However, I wouldn’t lay the blame on him for the first, that seems to be a collective issue for our back four. 2 players at the back post unmarked and everyone charging at the ball like a team of 6 year olds.

He did not need to do what he did for the first.
Took himself right out of the game.
Poor decision making.

The Collins one off fiasco aside (he did ok for the rest of the game), I thought the fans were really positive today. Didn't turn on the players (albeit the obvious frustrated individuals venting their usual spleen- particularly at Collins). The team put in a shift, and I was pleased that the fans stuck with them, despite being behind. Need to really get behind them on Wednesday, as Pompey are not on the same level as Burnley, and if we put in the same effort, hopefully we'll reap the rewards.

We’ve got a real issue, drop Colllins, scenario; Wilson has shocker or god forbid gets injured - Collins will be mentally gone. Stick with him, he’s mentally gone.

really don’t know what to do for best.
If Wilson has had another minor injury, as reported, then we have to stick with Collins, and support him. If not for that howler, we'd have all been saying that he'd had a decent game. Hard to forget, though!

In no mans land needlessly for the first.
Poor decision - took himself out of the game making it so easy for Burnley to score.

Because Collins stopped. He then had to react as best he could

They’re both equally culpable for the goal. Poor communication and indecision between the two and it was a similar story today as it was v Leeds. You can’t give away 2 poor goals and expect to come away with points.

We were good value for a point or 3 before we went into kamikaze mode. The silver lining is that if we maintain those performance levels as a whole, we’ll comfortably finish in the playoffs.

You’re right. It’s also true that if you’re unsure as a defender, you punt it out.

Collins has been nominated as the scapegoat and whilst I think he’s not good enough, it doesn’t absolve Kitching from his part in the debacle. He look vulnerable in parts today.
