What happened to all the positivity after three wins in a row? Ok not all this lot played vs Maidenhead and WBA but yoy'd think after those wins, coming off the Lyton performance, we'd be full of confidence. Not so, it seems.

Perhaps the two week lay off from league action allowed some of the upsurge in confidence from Luton to drain away a bit.

I do though think it is odd how we've beaten the top sides in this league but struggled with those further down the table.

Not really. They will be in the mix. They were easily the best team I’ve seen in this league

Vincenti is terrible, offers nothing.

A supposed winger who can't beat a man, has no pace, puts no crosses into the box.

Ahh so in true City style beat the leaders and lose to lower opposition, history dictates this is how it will be, still struggling on the goal front but a bad day at the office

It’s the first game at home we’ve been really second best. We were second best all over the park after the first twenty minutes.
And yet, according to BBC site, we had more shots on target than them, 6 versus 5. And more corners 6 versus their 2. And more possession 51% versus 49%.
So surely it cannot have been that one-sided?

This is not good enough , we have been relegated from above , we should be dominating this league , there is still time but seems like the bollocks have been kicked out of the club. Remember we are in a rock bottom league and losing at home to a small town
Bournemouth, Burnley and Swansea are established premier league clubs. What’s your point?

Can we all finally agree it’s not up to the strikers and we will never score many when we aren’t creating decent chances.

McNulty was unlucky in the first half. Ponticelli is way short of being a regular player in this league. Biamou was just a bad signing. The biggest let down is Beavon who should be figuring and is poor.

Yes it just shows stats are pointless we had three meaningful shots in the whole game

the team selection didn't match the tactics. We were hitting the channels early, we should have had Biamou on with either Pontecelli or McNulty.
We were heading for a point until Grimmer went off, lost the ball in the middle because we didn't have the out ball on the right and it ultimately lead to the goal.

It wasn't one sided, but they looked much more dangerous than we did when they had the ball.

That wasn’t your point

Read it all, so you think Swansea and Burnley are the same size as Mansfield? Go on have a quick check on wiki just to be sure,

You have missed my opinion completely and even tried to put me down. Were you around in the 70's and 80's watching Coventry ?

Agree with most of that, but I don't think Biamou is that bad, but I don't think he's the player we thought he was going to be.

I thought McNulty did okay today.

I rate Robins but his signings have been bloody shocking.[/QUOTE]
Well I don’t sorry but he’s tactically inept.
Two holding midfield players at home. Pass to Doyle, who passes wide to a fullback, gets it back passes wide to the other full back gets it back, back to one of the centre back, wide again gets it back and so on, tripe !

I agree. Biamou has been improving every week, reminds me of Leon Best when he first joined.

Losing Andreu was a huge blow.

He was the biggest and best summer signing and would have made a massive difference to how we play.

Without him we only have Jones who is able to unlock a defence.

All we need is a guy that can score 20 goals a season with no service. Sort it out Robins anyone can see it.
Yep. We need Super Johnny, who can receive the ball out on the wing, get past a man, get to the byline and put the ball over for himself to race over faster than a speeding bullet to score.

If he could serve food and drink at half time then we’re on to a winner.

he made their centre halves work when he came on and he's getting better.
Remember where he came from and give him time.
We've got 3 players supposedly proven at this level who are much more of a let down at the moment, McNulty, Beavon and Vicenti.

I’d be massively surprised if Beavon wasn’t moved on in January. He’s not doing the business for us and he would want to be playing at this stage in his career.
