See if Simms was off as rumoured it would make sense to sign him as an experienced player.
Without Simms going tho just leaves us way to much depth especially as I think Mason and Haji will be playing together and rotation in between the ST and LW roles.
Will say tho if we wanted a godden replacement 1/1 we should have gone for Langstaff. Feel he would do really well here with his movement or Joe Taylor from Luton
Tom cannon would have been a better buy if we could have got him1 goal in 21 at Millwall isn’t a great return though, albeit we probably create more than they do…
not hit the heights expected as yet
Not interested in who is in goal?
I suppose it depends whether you see EMC/Haji as competition for that CF role. I think both are great on the left so would be loath to move them making BTA the only direct back up to Simms at the point we signed him.See if Simms was off as rumoured it would make sense to sign him as an experienced player.

Not yet granted but he’s really had the best time I don’t think. Started around half of not wrong playing a direct style which won’t really suit him imo.1 goal in 21 at Millwall isn’t a great return though, albeit we probably create more than they do…

I'm convinced Norman's inclusion is Lampard sending a message to Simms.
Seeing Jimmy87s comments on another thread I think the message is sinking in.
Wouldn't be surprised to see him start tomorrow
And a rocket up his arse!Just think that Lampard should get Dr Claire to do some genetics shit and put Bassette's brain into Simm's body.
More offsides than Bakayoko and looks less likely to score. Honestly no idea why Bassette is getting a free pass all the time.
Think I was there? Did that confirm the 2nd Div Championship as Wolves lost?21,050 days since my first City match. May 13th 1967.
v Millwall 3-1
Thanks Dad.

Jim O'Brien was the worse positional player I've ever seenJim O’Brien and Andy Morrell worked hard and they were hated

Rudoni on the left then?
He was all over the place wasn't he. Trying to beat the opposition, single handedly.Jim O'Brien was the worse positional player I've ever seen
I mean it's a bit early to be making those comparisons ...Jim O’Brien and Andy Morrell worked hard and they were hated
They weren’t 20 years old when they played here, having moved to a different country.
And contributed towards more goals than Bassette will
If Ahmedhodzic didn’t get sent off, Bassette wouldn’t be so highly rated on here.

He got a standing ovation from some the other day for doing little.Because he works hard, has a bit about him and quite young to be playing regularly leading the line in the championship?
He doesn’t get free pass, but also unsure why he is the butt of a load of criticism when he’s been involved in some decent performances. It’s pretty clear he is not the issue in this team.
If people watched football enough to understand it just a little, they’d have seen EMC would be okay and Bassette will too.

People like him because he runs around a lot but is there sufficient evidence that he’s actually contributing positively to results?
