so after beating them 6-2 last season, now we're going to be lucky to get a draw??? what have they done to make such a big improvement, or is it just promo bounce?

Me when people start talking about a game being a six pointer before the season's a week old...

Can’t see anything but a comfortable home win.

Dovin
MVE Lati Kitching Bidwell
Eccles Torp
Sakamoto Rudoni Wright
Simms

I reckon that’s about right, although I wouldn’t be surprised to see Kitching in for Binks or Dasilva for Bidwell.

Kitching and Dasilva both played well last night and the latter is a good option if we are going to play attacking football, which we should be doing at home to an average team.

It will be interesting to see who Robins sees as his first choice LCB. I prefer Binks but Kitching played well on Tuesday. We know, despite form last season, he favoured DaSilva in the early part of last season, so wouldn't be surprised if he was to start after a good cup game. However, I much prefer Bidwell with DaSilva used as a sub.
I also hope, and assume Dovin will start. Robins has a habit of changing around keepers far too often imo. Wilson played well Tuesday.

He's more of a central midfielder than Jamie fucking Allen!!!!

Mind you, so is my granny
Allen didn’t play well Saturday. But he was asked to play a role that he isn’t suited too, he’s a 8/10 mold - basically run about doing doggies type midfielder - NOT someone to take ball and start patterns off/dictate play etc.

Palmer is just a luxury I’m afraid. The bad outweighs the good. We can’t afford luxuries.

100% disagree. Palmer is frustrating, but has the quality to unlock defences, (as in his assist for Simms on Tuesday) he also has decent strength on the ball.

Allen just shouldn't be anywhere near our first team, regardless of any injury issues we may have.
To play Allen instead of Eccles last Saturday was a shockingly bad decision. (Unless Eccles was carrying a knock, in which case Lats should of started)

The fact that Allen and palmer are in the last year of their contract and, as far as we know, haven't been offered new deals, probably tells us all we need to know.

For the first time ever Palmer played the simple ball, the way he was facing.
When he does it another half a dozen times,I will start to believe the penny has finally dropped.

I know it's first home game of the season so a decent crowd is always likely, but that's a cracking effort for a Friday night game on TV 👏🏻

Most of the empty seats in the away end too really.

It's a good crowd. Really looking forward to it

It was by no means the simple ball. We’ve got ten players who play five yard passes the way they’re facing every time, we don’t need another.

i dont think it'll drop below 27k much all year. Most clubs will bring the full allocation of around 2.5k as well

Away end holds 3K this season and i'd say about only about 8 teams will probably fill that. We've lost 4 big away followins with blues going down and Leicester/Ipswich/ Saints going up.

A fan on their forum reckons they've sold about 1500 .. which is pretty dire for their first away game of the season an hour up the road

On a Friday night in school holidays, probably considered and inconvenience. What home gates do they get?
