Dunno if Simms will be for long looking at Bassette. I say this as a big Simms fan, but Bassette excites me a lot more. Once he gets 1 I can see the flood gates opening.
Seen a lot of comparisons but he reminds me of Vardy more than anyone.

Early days but already wondering if long term we will be looking back thinking we should have sold Simms in the summer just gone, if Bassette ousts him out the team then his value could well have already peaked.

Lots of positives to be taken from that game. We are starting to find our feet as a squad.

Very good performance by us and a tough one to take. Allen just not at the level and gave the ball away many times when his job is to keep it. You can't blame Sheaf, he's comeon after a long lay off. perhaps not thebest of decisions in hingsight, but he needed some minutes.
In a way Robin's got his performance and confidence into the players with Asante and Mason-Clarke looking hungry. He is likely secretly please we are out so he can concentrate on the league and 3 points on Saturday. Robins probably saying brilliant lads in the dressing room.
Binks and Thomas look a good partnership and Bidwell was very good as was Van Ewik.
Allen was excellent until he ran out of steam. You don’t half chat some shit

Subs showed that Robins wasn’t really arsed about winning the game. Basically just took off everyone who is likely to start on Saturday. No way Allen should have played 90 minutes, he was awful second half.

Not sure how you can say that when we brought on three pretty nailed on starters

You can't seriously blame Torp for that goal. Mad. Sheaf pinged it to him whilst he had two men closing him down. Crap by Sheaf
The pass wasn't good, but look at his first touch, you're getting mugged with a touch that heavy.

I know you're not doing it but we need to not compare him to Vik, he's a different type of striker. To me he looks more like a young Vardy.
Yep reluctant to do that myself, but there have been times when his play and mannerisms remind me of the loan spell version.

Win win. Good performance and don't have to play anymore extra games

Agree. Cup run ruined the play off charge last year.
