You can't blame Sheaf for a hospital ball but can blame Allen for being tired

Not allowed:

-Blaming the player who effectively assisted their winner
-To be frustrated at losing it so late on in the game, in the fashion we did
-To question the manager for his substitutions, which are a talking point again

Are allowed:

- To have a go at those who missed the odd chance
- To blame the goalkeeper even though he's generally played extremely well

The 'Are Allowed' category this evening is generally being wheeled out to dilute the attention to the statements in the 'Not Allowed' category.

Regardless of it all, we've played very well and deserved to win that tonight. The players, I hope, can take some spirit from it.

Good to see how mobile we were with Bassette, BTA and Rudoni once they got fired up.
Wright has lots of potential but needs a step change in his fitness, he's very patchy.
Simms looks an old school awkward centre forward in comparison.
EMC has a long way to go.
Not sure Torp will make it sadly.
Sheaf needs very careful handling and not just with his injuries. He's way off being our saviour....
Simms and Wright both got 19 goals last season, they’re top players at this level.

Don’t really know what people are on about with Sheaf supposedly being well off it the whole time he was on. Didn’t think he put a foot wrong until the hospital pass and was giving us a lot more composure in midfield.

You can’t deny we were again incredibly wasteful with chances. Sheaf’s assist notwithstanding

The subs were logical ones to make but maybe the wrong personnel came off. I could see Allen blowing before Eccles went off for example. However they’ll know the fitness levels and if people are carrying a knock etc so hard to criticise too much
To be fair Eccles is more important for us than Allen for the Swansea game so perhaps that was part of it, and that's ok.

whilst it’s no excuse what so ever, the idiot spurs fan was blowing kisses and giving 2 fingers to the Cov fans as they left. One of their party (Australian guy) asked the Cov fans what had happened on the way back into the lounge and went on to say this person (spurs fan who was pushed) will also be banned from sitting with the directors in the future. Bit of a shock to the system when they are not surrounded by tourists by the sounds of it
Hmmm. Don't condone violence but seems he wasn't entirely innocent to the cause.
Would like to see some footage of the alleged push on Mr Dumpty.

He gave them 2 of the 3 clear cut chances. The one Wilson saved after Sheaf tried to shepherd it out and lost it to Spence

The best this current team has ever played imo, and I will give credit to Eccles and Allen for once, some of their best work in midfield 👏🏻

A brilliant all round team performance, it just shows you what we can do when we press high and press in packs of 2-3 players at a time, rather than sitting back and being happy with just having the ball at our feet.

Bassette looks way more lively than Simms and adds a real enthusiasm going forwards, we just need to replicate this sort of performance week in week out.

I agree. Stomping around complaining and moaning about that shows a lack of understanding of the game tbh- a couple of costly errors aside I’m not sure it gets much better than that.

Unlucky to lose tonight based on the amount of chances created, really need to be more clinical. Let’s go and batter Swansea on Saturday with Bassette leading the line.

I mean Simms scored against Watford....
But did he lead the line as well? I don’t think he did.

Bassette also stretches the play far more than Simms, which opens up space for others to play.

When they’re all fit/on form, Bassette + Wright either side of Simms might be worth a look.

Simms was fucking abysmal when he came on. Chased absolutely nothing down, fake little runs as if he was making an effort and then pulling up 5 yards short. It put us under constant pressure.

Very good performance by us and a tough one to take. Allen just not at the level and gave the ball away many times when his job is to keep it. You can't blame Sheaf, he's comeon after a long lay off. perhaps not thebest of decisions in hingsight, but he needed some minutes.
In a way Robin's got his performance and confidence into the players with Asante and Mason-Clarke looking hungry. He is likely secretly please we are out so he can concentrate on the league and 3 points on Saturday. Robins probably saying brilliant lads in the dressing room.
Binks and Thomas look a good partnership and Bidwell was very good as was Van Ewik.
Agree with most of this but match fitness is no excuse for that suicidal pass under no pressure

If you’re ranting after that performance you need to have a word with yourself

Most people ranting are the ones trying to police the frustration other people have for being so close to beating a top Premier League team.

I think everyone agrees we played really well for the most part. There's a lot of positives to take. We play like that in the league and we'll blow teams away.
