these people boil my piss….

pull on a shirt and let’s see how you get on - or just stay at home and save yourself the bother!!

Wright had a decent game today and occupied their defence most of the game anyway!
My only criticism of Wright is that he needs to look up and pass every now and then

Sheaf icing his ankle after the game and robins doesn't know if that means he's going to be out again.....

yeah maybe, but also I like that slightly selfish confidence in a forward - especially considering last season at the start he had none of that and just wanted rid of the ball whenever it came anywhere near him

there is a happy medium though, which I guess turns a good player into a great one

A belter of a game which also showed our nievety in how not to manage the game and run down the clock. Did we shoot ourselves in the foot or was it the quality of the opponents that won it when it mattered? Probably a bit of both.

Thoroughly enjoyed the game and the performance but obviously not the result. We were the better team for large parts of the game but for whatever reason switched off / tiredness/ misplaced passes and hesitation at the crucial moments.

Once Son Maddison and Johnson were on their quality started to show more and more in the final third and we tired more and more. Coming into that game was always going to be harder for our subs. Sometimes you’ve got to accept your opponent can bring on a couple of hundred million worth of talent and you can’t.

agree, but if Allen had stood firm and not had a rush of blood to press, and completely miss, the ball and the tackle there would’ve been far less space and maybe Spence wouldn’t have made the run…. maybe…..

I think MR alluded to it in post match interview when he said certain players decided to play the press when they didn’t have to… maybe
Might be wrong but I think robins referred to Sheaf passing into the press (for the second )

I thought Kulasevski looked a fantastic player tonight , he was the one for me that got them ticking

Robins record against Premier league teams in normal time is pretty good , he does seem to be able to find a way to perform against the odds

Was going to write the same. They won the game because they had a couple hundred million pounds of world class talent to bring on, with fresh legs. No shame in that.

We seem to suite playing against them as we're a good team on the break especially when we get a turnover. Our transitions are fantastic, if we have space to play into we seem to thrive, we did the same against Fulham in the championship a few seasons back, they were basically prem level, we did the same against wolves in the cup and united at Wembley (once we stopped giving them respect) and even glimpses against Watford in the first half where we overrun them.

Ive always found that when we have too much of the ball and build up slowly we just seem to struggle, I liken it then to watching England 🤣

Just got home from my drive home and honestly, really enjoyed the game tonight! Was disappointed with the result and the manner of it. The bigger picture was that there was so many positive performances against a good Prem team.

Bassette was impressive, the first impressions is to draw comparisons to Gyokeres - even in how one footed he is compared to Vik when he started with us.

That's all I ever ask. I don't mind losing if we have played really well and given a good account of ourselves.

Proud of the team right now and if we can put anything like that performance into most of our season, we will be right up there

Yes. Distribution wise alone would probably have made the difference today. Possibly would have done better with the goals too.

distribution alone?

wilson ball for Bidwell was spot on

bidders made the run and spotted it straightaway
