Yeah easy to say when in the last 30 minutes they had 3 forwards who’ve scored 50 goals between them

You counter act that by continuing to put pressure on them.

They scored the second and we started going at them again, they couldn’t cope when we attacked. They looked average at best yet we let them come on to us and in the end we’re lucky to get a draw

I don't think it was down to tactics tonight, first half the game seemed to open up every time we got the ball and we could run at them. Mcnulty should have had a hat trick

At 2-1 we should have been putting it in the stand if we had any doubt, they were winning most of the battles at that point and were going out.

They committed so many men forward it's obvious why they score so many. The one they had disallowed should have sent the message, it didn't and we stood off.

So if every team did that they’d beat Luton?

Last time was Sunday, next time is Saturday.

I thought you were drinking properly the way you were going on about it? May as well have had 20 / 20.

Maybe bitter when you want to gloat after a shit result?

So you try to call me out on not drinking, now you were wrong on that you try and belittle my tipple. I really don't get you.

I love the club and would never celebrate a shit result, as it was a point is good. The way we threw it away is not however.

That was Kelly fault, he watched them instead of challenging and having it in the stand

What a twat

They have all the momentum

Totally agree. As much if not more Kelly's fault than Haynes.

Must admit I was one that said he needed to go when we lost 3 in a row.
I was wrong tbh. We're in with a shout of autos and in with a big shout of playoffs. A draw with Luton ain't a terrible result. As long as we back it up with a win vs Crewe.

We have to face it, our squad isn't as good as many on here seem to think. He's getting a decent amount out of them. Lack of a bit of rhythm and cohesion but it's a virtually new team. Hopefully follow this up with a win. Disappointed with the result but all to play for really.

You can't pressure a team for 90 mins. Especially not a free scoring team like Luton who have continued to score even out of form. I thought the tactics were spot on for once until we conceded from that flap out of nothing. They were always going to come at us hard after half time and all we needed to do was weather it with no mistakes. Only thing that can possibly be levelled at Robins today was whether Kelly could have come on a little earlier for Vincenti who looked tired 2nd half, moving Bayliss out wide. Conceding a gift after 55 minutes changed the game completely.

I thought Kelly was poor when he did come on. He was about 2 seconds behind the game.

Indeed. Easy to forget, we've lost two of our biggest attacking threats for the majority of the season.
It's still in our hands.

disagree with the putting it in the stand comment. Vicenti did just that prior to the equaliser and they ultimately scored from the throw in. I would have prefered a bit more composure. In that instance he should have got his head up and played a pass.
Having said that, they tried to get their left winger on the ball constantly so he's obviously their main man.

Not easy to come into a game cold into that position when Luton are battering the door down for 2nd.
Not sure what you want him to do with the ball that spooned over his head for the 2nd either, too dangerous to head it blind and backwards in that position and then it drops into two Luton players when he turns to face it.

He could have challenged for it, I will watch it again and happy to be wrong on a replay but it looked at the time like he bottled the challenge.

I get that but we are the kings of sitting back and letting teams come on to us, we’ve been doing it for years and it is why we will continue to not be successful

He's a holding/defensive midfielder, should be bred into him by now. No coincidence he was in a relegated side last season

With Jones and Andreu we would be in the autos I'm pretty sure. Likewise Luton without Hylton and Collins who've got 35 for the season between them probably wouldn't be sat in 2nd with a goal difference of 40.

Enjoyed the game tonight, but feels like a defeat, I don’t get why Biamou didn’t come on for JCH for the last 15 the ball kept going forward not sticking and coming back.

Thought Kelly was well off the pace when he came on and opened the game up in the middle of the park for them.

The bit of skill from Haynes was sensational.

Interesting MR said Vincenti best game since he’s been here I’ve not seen much of him but my god if that’s his best game......

Ref was appalling both ways.

In City’s hands 19 points ish for the playoffs?

You're never happy to be wrong. Don't be silly.

Nearly as silly as being "invited for a drink" and commentating on your drinking game online which turns out to be a handful of cans of carling and telling others they don't have lives as if you are some sort of international jet setting socialite?

Wow .... I mean just wow.

Vincenti wasn't actually that bad when he had the ball at his feet, he was one of the main people who started actually passing it to JCH rather than putting it on his head every time.

Played some nice passes when the ball was on the floor.

I think he played better before his injury against Wycombe than tonight though.

Tbf a carling drinking game would take up quite a few hours. Even days, maybe

Spooned over him at a weird angle. Looked like he was missing a shout to me and turned to face it. Could he have done a bit more? Probably. Think it's a stretch blaming him for the goal though. Was a very good cross and finish. Watch it back tomorrow and see what you think.

Yeah there was still a lot to do, he could have just got stuck in and had the ball away or at least tried to go for it. He was pretty much a spectator when he came on, if anything it made us weaker.

They were always going to come at us second half.
We still went for it and did have enough missed chances to settle it .
I wasn't there but it just feels like the substitions didn't come off.

I think we played really well first half, they will be happier with a point than us. Most would have taken a point before kick off, but I always think that's assuming you come back to get a point rather than losing a 2 goal lead. Even in the second half we had chances to finish the game. The real difference between the 2 sides in the second half was the quality of crosses that went into the box, theirs showed why they have scored so many this season ours showed why we haven't. Still plenty to play for and I think if it's the play offs we will do well.
