Well done Pete. I didn't necessarily buy into the conspiracy theories RE CWR being in W*sps corner until that. Clive has mentioned the clause numerous times. Shocked really but great work.

Well he kind of phrased it carefully I think he said there is the Eu case but referenced when that’s finished

I’m sorry I would have asked bout the document signed before the talks if I’d remembered. I hope I didn’t come across as a Sisu stooge was just wanting to ensure Clive couldn’t point fingers without being challenged on what he thought the club could do
No I’ve had to google it to make sure we could guarentee it. Facts only.

you’ve done good

It was on the club’s press release that SISU signed an undertaking that no further legal challenges against Wasps would take place.

The following statement was on the official website on 7th June 2019. It was never denied by Wasps, so we assume it can be taken at face-value:-

The following statement has been issued by Coventry City's Owners SISU this afternoon:

As previously reported, Wasps insisted SISU sign a legal undertaking before they would participate in discussions with CCFC. SISU signed this undertaking in April to irrevocably cease all proceedings against Wasps relating to the sale and lease of the Ricoh Arena. Wasps then entered into commercial discussions with CCFC to allow the Club to continue to play for a limited time; however, not the five years we wanted.

Following agreement on commercials, Wasps demanded a further agreement to be signed both by the Football Club and SISU. This agreement introduced conditions that would unreasonably restrict the Club and SISU’s basic legal rights and would commit the Club and SISU to underwrite Wasps’ costs and any future damages. This would put the Football Club at great risk and jeopardise its future and in so doing, undermine the hard-work and success the Club has achieved over the past few seasons.

I never listen to it - I did tonight to hear Pete but the other week he has I guess that Billy Bell on and he was trying to get him to say some players were refusing to attend legends day

That fell flat then some guy texted that Wasps were to blame and his reply was something like “well that’s your view but certainly not the view of thousands of sky blue fans”

To be honest that point is correct - thousands don’t blame wasps

I didn’t hear it but my Dad said he was he was being childish putting on a stupid voice saying he didn’t care about the opinion of callers and texters blaming W*sps for the ground issue. Others must have heard it as it was when he thought they’d gone to an advert / break and he couldn’t be heard.

I heard it but wasn't fully paying attention from the the start. He didn't appear to be slagging off all callers but just one in particular, who always asks for the wasps scored when they've lost. And yes, he did use a 'funny voice' :)

He said at the end the football club website has the reference to the identity but wasps said they changed “some details”

Ah ok. That’s interesting. I’m pretty sure Eastwood referred to it recently but I may have assumed that

Linnell just wanted to get you off air. I’ll send a twitter message and tag him

Before Pete called, Linell also referenced, I'm guessing, your twitter account Grendel! Worth listening back...sly dig about you changing handles and forcing (maybe wrong phrase) ideas on there. Deffo worth listening back. Was between 1st caller and Pete.
He did say, after receiving emails with proof of indemnity, that he would check it out with Wasps before next Friday as he was sure that the indemnity was now not an issue.....

In his heavily-edited piece to camera on Midlands Today a couple of weeks ago, he conveniently failed to refer to ANYTHING in particular!
Yeah, that was edited a fair bit due to a fuss being kicked up on twitter. He said drop legals and we'd be welcomed back. Fuss stated no legals... and EU stuff couldn't be dropped. BBC MTD edited out.
CWR played the whole bit unedited then commented on it as it was said....

Maybe he can get Richardson to put that in writing to Joy and Boddy, then! Especially if we win on Sunday and get a tasty home draw in Round 4 - that would focus their mind!

I did hear it. I got the impression it was someone who has conversations with him on this issue. I think it’s more likely to be Nick. Probably is him or me.

I’ve sent a message those who follow me retweet it - it’s carefully worded and polite
