Surely that's because they can issue a statement now about speaking to him or not when they probably can't actually say where games will be next August at the minute?

They also made a statement about the pitch invader from the FGR game. They have announced when and where the kids party in.

I'd have thought at the minute nothing is actually confirmed for next August hence they can't announce anything.
No announcement, but if they're in the habit of commenting on everything people are concerned about just not bring left completely in the dark would be a step forward.

How could they comment though on something that's not decided or confirmed?

Whereas they commented on the pitch invader once it was confirmed and the things about this because they can. It's the same as they couldn't confirm or make statements about the JSB party about when it would be until it was booked and arranged, then they did.

I wouldn't read too much into it happening because they made statements, unless they do start contradicted themselves massively in them.

Making the club a success, unfortunately in the current state of play. IMO that can only happen by getting into bed with Wasps.
Just my opinion of course.
I can’t see the Butts idea happening.
Us moving away won’t work.
Just renting from Wasps as we are under these owners means we stagnate.
So it’s either new owners with more money than sense (unlikely)
Or owners with just enough money and a partnership with Wasps and you will really hate this bit but also the council

To make the club a success, you need fans through the door. To make the Ricoh a success you need to have no debt hanging over it. If the bonds and buying a share weren't as complicated, do you think Wasps would sell half? Or just think more of what they can get out of the club, now they have a rich new owner? Would they look after their own interests? If you bought half, what would you do with the bond repayment? Would you pay half of it despite not seeing any of the money? Do you think Wasps could pay it off on their own? Would you want their bond debt secured on the Ricoh? If they defaulted, would we be homeless?

Renting under these owners we stagnate, is that you saying you would accept a rental deal? On what terms? What would you consider a fair rent?

How would a partnership with Wasps make us successful? Finally, amusingly, how do you think a partnership with a council who have never helped the club, would help the club?

I would like a comment on what their plans are for next year.
Where they see us playing.
Do they understand that they legal action is causing us problems on any plans?
What is the future for the academy long term.
At what point will they stop the legal action.
What are their plans for the club long term and at what point can we see each stage progress.
What do they value the club at?
Is the new stadium idea completely dead and if so why? (This one may have been answered recently)
Where are we at with the new training ground plan?

I think when people feel the club aren’t saying enough.
It’s more a case that they are not saying enough on the important things.
When they did comment in the past it all now seems to be incorrect or failed.

I'd like some idea on what's going on next season, that's all. Even if it's nothing yet, I'd like to know it's something they're at least thinking about.

I don't know if you're speaking up for them or just playing devil's advocate, but you don't need to do it for everything.

No it's just obvious that they can make a statement about if he has spoken to them much easier than where we are playing next year, isn't it?

Don't get me wrong, an announcement about it would be more than welcome and would settle a lot of nerves but surely if they don't know themselves they can't say any more than it's being worked on, priority and they will announce when they can etc which has been said?

Many supporters will be aware that our current agreement to play at the stadium expires at the end of this season. Resolving this issue is my priority. I appreciate fans are keen for news regarding this as soon as possible, but I can say to you now that as soon as there is confirmed news in this area we will communicate to you as soon as possible."

I can announce if I spoke to somebody yesterday or not but I can't announce something I don't know myself or is still being worked on.

I would like a comment on what their plans are for next year. Plan for next year is hopefully back in L1 with the aim of another promotion.
Where they see us playing. Would be what Boddy said, it's his priority, announcement when more known.
Do they understand that they legal action is causing us problems on any plans? The legal action is being taken by the owners who believe they have a strong case. Out of the clubs control.
What is the future for the academy long term. The academy will be at the Higgs for another year, which we are very pleased about. We continue to have discussions with relevant parties.
At what point will they stop the legal action. The legal action will continue.
What are their plans for the club long term and at what point can we see each stage progress. We aim to build on the continued success of the academy and enable MR to have the best possible squad within our self sufficient model.
What do they value the club at? The club is not for sale.
Is the new stadium idea completely dead and if so why? (This one may have been answered recently) We continue to look at all options, the club must have access to revenue.
Where are we at with the new training ground plan? That is not currently a priority.

I think when people feel the club aren’t saying enough.
It’s more a case that they are not saying enough in the important things.
When they did comment in the past it all now seems to be in correct or failed.

They have been here 10 years, are we not all fully versed with the shit they come out with?

Copy and paste that same thing every few weeks, it's got to be better than nothing. The main thing people are asking them is about next season, for a club that keeps saying that they want transparency and better communication I'd personally feel better hearing that there's no news rather than not hear anything at all.

Stadium plans 3 weeks away... 4 years ago. Now we all trust every statement Tim puts out through the club?
:stop:

Does the guy going on the radio on Friday and then totally contradicting himself not have any part in making up people's minds at all? What about the guy saying his proof that he had had in depth talks with Mark Hornby about it all and his advisors turning out to be a forwarded email?

He's not the problem though is he, he's not making the club homeless again in May. He's actually a convenient distraction for our owners currently isn't he?! After all this takeover talk dies down, the question still remains firmly on our owners, where is our future?

Is that a full on conspiracy theory you are promoting there? LOL

And now it's almost November which puts us two months closer to apparent homelessness, with an owner that doesn't have the greatest track record of sticking to deadlines or being punctual. I'm normally a bit more 'wait and see' but I'm far from comfortable with this. Reiterate the same fluff about priorities and announcements to be made as and when, just don't shut out what's a constant question.

Who has said he is making the club homeless?

You are trying the same trick, you throw a line in about believing it because Tim said it. I say no, it isn't just because of that and then give you examples of other valid reasons and then you go off on a tangent.

No i'm asking that people take the mind of the Dale distraction and come back to fucking reality.

But you just said you would want them to say we are working on it?

Even if it's nothing yet, I'd like to know it's something they're at least thinking about.

They have said exactly that:

I appreciate fans are keen for news regarding this as soon as possible, but I can say to you now that as soon as there is confirmed news in this area we will communicate to you as soon as possible."

But now that's not enough as they don't have a track record of sticking to deadlines?

Don't get me wrong, they could well be doing nothing behind the scenes but you said you wanted to know they were at least thinking about it, as soon as their quote gets posted that's not enough?

What's the point in wanting them to mention it?

So how does it go from "Stadium plans 3 weeks away... 4 years ago. Now we all trust every statement Tim puts out through the club?"

Then when you get a reply stating other valid reasons people may doubt him other than just the club statement it's suddenly something completely different with no actual reply to what you originally said?

Why not just say "People need to take their minds off this distraction", rather than saying something completely different?

The quote is fine, which is why I'd be ok with them C+Ping that endlessly if they need to. Their track record is why I'll take anything they say with a handful of salt, but I'd still prefer it to hearing nothing for long stretches of time, and in this case I consider two months a very long time when it's something that is only nine months away.

People want to know what's going, they're asking every single day. If it was nothing yet in September, tell us if it's nothing yet in October. Tell us again in November and December, and all the time until something changes.

I really don't know why this is putting you out, I'm barely even asking for the actual truth from them.

It isn't putting me out, I am just trying to understand how them making a statement ruling out this guy somehow proves it has something about it. (Even though he has completely contradicted himself by his own doing)

Then you say about where we are playing and that you want them to say they are working on it every few weeks even if it doesn't confirm anything, you then see a quote of something they said and it then changes to that they have a dodgy track record.

I have no idea if they are even working on it, they could be sat making paper aeroplanes and flicking elastic bands about the office. You just said you wanted them to say they were and they have, now because it was just over a month ago it's too far away and they speak bullshit anyway so it doesn't count.

I'm not too sure why you are asking me? He just said he wanted to know it was still being thought about, I posted the quote that says it is.

They clearly don't know 100%, which is why it hasn't been announced.

Do you want them to announce a 25 year Ricoh deal and then Wasps to rule it out to make you feel more at ease?

Who cares? There's clearly nothing happening other than some self-publicity. Until we hear some actual news, as opposed to unsubstantiated big talk, let's just ignore it and assume nothing's happening.

This is the only quote we have from Boddy....

"Many supporters will be aware that our current agreement to play at the stadium expires at the end of this season.

"Resolving this issue is my priority.

"I appreciate fans are keen for news regarding this as soon as possible, but I can say to you now that as soon as there is confirmed news in this area we will communicate to you."

So when he says resolving this is his priority.
I want to know what is he doing to resolve it.
Is he currently in negotiations with Wasps. Are Wasps now talking to him?
Is he talking to other clubs and the EFL regarding the possibility of a ground share?
Is he meeting with Tim and Joy and telling them unless that legal action is dropped we are screwed?
What is he actually doing?
Currently in less than 8 months time we have no home. I think it’s reasonable to ask for a bit more info than we wil let you know when we know something.

It didn't say it proves anything, I said it gives the story more legitimacy in my eyes than it would have done had they ignored it completely. I understand that they haven't because he's been very public with it.

Then you say about where we are playing and that you want them to say they are working on it every few weeks even if it doesn't confirm anything, you then see a quote of something they said and it then changes to that they have a dodgy track record.
The track record is why I don't trust them, it doesn't change anything I've said.

I have no idea if they are even working on it, they could be sat making paper aeroplanes and flicking elastic bands about the office. I didn't say it didn't count, it does. I'd like to hear another update even if it's a repeat so it doesn't feel like the concerns are falling on deaf ears.

I think I've explained myself about as much as I can but I feel you're increasingly putting words in my mouth so I'd like to request that we end this discussion here if that's ok.

Surely he / they aren't going to lay all of their cards out on the table straight off and tell everybody every option they are considering etc? It's like expecting the list of Trust questions to be answered in full.

More importantly as long as we survive. I am not into the club dissapearing as long as it inconveniences Wasps. Which seems more of a priority to you. I don’t give a rats ass about Wasps
