There seems to be a lot of hypocritical hate for the farmers by the ones who support the right for peaceful protest by JSO, Palestine, vegan pussy marches etc. I'm not saying you do, as I dont know your stance on any of these, but we can't pick and choose our protecting rights to peaceful protest, it's either for all or none, whatever the cause. It seems they're fine unless they have a couple of quid more than you and then it shouldn't be allowed.Hope all those farmers are fined for using red diesel.

I have only respect for our farmers.
Our countryside is a picture because of their input never mind the food production.
The land may pass into mom farming hands as family’s won’t be able to afford to keep the farm and pay their inheritance taxI struggle to understand how making whoever inherits your estate pay inheritance tax after your death has any bearing whatsoever on your current ability to produce food. Can somebody explain?
Fucking hellI have only respect for our farmers.

They probably were and you're right they're hypocrites too, but anything else is just whataboutery.I'd say the hypocrisy is the other way round!
You can guarantee the majority of those farmers were raging about JSO blocking ambulances etc.
Jeremy Clarkson was saying you're only allowed to protest if you're protesting about Gaza or JSO, yet joined in with the farmer's protest.
Everyone has the right to protest (peacefully, of course).
Using red diesel on the roads is illegal though.

It doesnt stop current farms producing food
That’s correct tooIf farming isn’t a sustainable business (which is what the farmers are saying), and we want to subsidise it for national pride reasons, why do it through inheritance tax that just so happens to benefit the uber wealthy rather than just subsidising the food production?
You ever seen the countryside sickboyFucking hell
I'm also sure some farmers will be poorer, I wasnt talking about an individual, more those in a movement ... although as usual, you knew that tooI think JSO have a couple of quid more than most of us. Aileen Getty - Wikipedia
Thought you would have more understanding with a name like PartridgeFarmers don't create hills and greenery mate, it's a natural phenomena
It isnt btw, but is in the instance of the protests.Using red diesel on the roads is illegal though.

and likewise if we're concerned about existing farmland being used for other things then we have planning law we can rely onIf farming isn’t a sustainable business (which is what the farmers are saying), and we want to subsidise it for national pride reasons, why do it through inheritance tax that just so happens to benefit the uber wealthy rather than just subsidising the food production?

My father didn't get on with the farming community

The stories are about her falsifying her CV, that's OK is it?She’s get unending shit because she’s a woman. See the cringe “Rachel from accounts” stuff. I’m not surprised she feels she has to justify herself.
This story is beyond nothing though. Oh no your admin got a dropdown on LinkedIn wrong!Glad we got the BBC to “investigate”

1. A LinkedIn profile and a CV are two different things
2. She wasn't hired or given this job based off her fucking LinkedIn profile

Yeah I’m forever grateful to farmers for creating the natural phenomenon of the British countryside. You ever seen the countryside sickboy
I find the hybrid approach works best for me but people should be free to choose how and when they work, within reason.UK working culture. My, oh my. Rant incoming...
There is a big push at the moment to try and get people to stop WFH and back in the office. It is classic British small-mindedness. We were behind the curve in trusting people to do that, but Covid meant there was no other choice. The amount of Linkedin (yes, I hate it) postings and ads that show up, or recruiters that contact me (even though I clearly have a job) trying to push me into a job that's in an office 5 days a week is mad.
Don't get me started on the salaries in the UK either... They are absolutely laughable compared to a lot of other countries. There is this whole crab bucket syndrome here: You will work from home 5 days a week, and you will earn next to nothing for the privilege of it. If you dare to do better we will bitch about you and give you a hard time. Honestly, it is pretty toxic here.
