Looking at the photos it doesn’t look like it was fully cladded in the stuff like Grenfel. Just the areas around the windows, the rest of the construction is brick. Still should have been removed though as promised.
2 votes for Labour and one for Green as they only put forward 2.So...
Evo voted Labour.
Anybody else...?
You're posting in a political discussion thread, not exactly unreasonable to be asked political questions. Especially when there's been a discussion going on for a while about why people vote Conservative.Another thing wrong with Labour voters these days, they think people owe them an explanation of why they voted a certain way. No one owes you anything.
Wouldn’t have made any difference. I live in a very very safe seat for the Tory councillors. Voting greens at least gives an indication of what is important to me to the other parties and then helps drive agendas through a desire to win my vote.Well might I suggest, for someone who doesn't want Conservatives running everything, not splitting the left wing vote by voting Green. Just a thought.

Same here. Not traditionally a Labour voter but voting for anyone else is a wasted vote. Its a vote against the Conservatives rather than a vote for Labour. I have no idea what Labours polices are in this election or the direction Starmer wants to take the party in as his actions are very different to what he promised when he was running for leader. Had to Google who the Labour candidates were for Mayor and PCC which isn't exactly inspiring.Yeah on all fronts, for the first time in ages locally. For the reason Tom put really. If you don't want Tories who else you going to vote for?
Fair enough, I like (most) the people on this thread so cba arguing over politics any longer myself. Off to argue about Biamou in one of footy threads I go...I hear your first point. As for the second, I'm just baffled. That's why the question gets asked. Sometimes you get buzzwords like wokeness, identity politics etc. Think I'll just switch off from it for a bit tbh. I'll be alright.
No, I was hammered with sponsored ads on facebook for Johal the Tory PCC and Andy Street. I see the Tory councillor in sherbourne who was posting under a fake account gained the ward. Pretty sure I have a 100% record of voting for the losing side in pretty much everything my entire voting life.Same here. Not traditionally a Labour voter but voting for anyone else is a wasted vote. They also backtracked on the original promise. Only buildings over a certain height now count and leaseholders are being left to foot bills instead of the people responsible for the dodgy building practices in the first place.Yes and thankfully no one was killed.
But the government promised to do something that would protect and save lives, and they haven't. But hey, at least they aren't woke.

The other thing is that I don’t think they start counting in Rugby until tomorrow so as far as I know greens might be the dominant “left” party in my area meaning voting Labour would have contributed to splitting the “left” vote more than voting green.
So...
Evo voted Labour.

So they are. As I thought, safe safe Tory seat. They got more votes than Labour, Greens and Lib Dem’s combined so I didn’t split anything. I did get the luxury of voting with my conscience and core principles though. All WCC results now in
Pandemic probably doesn't help, tbfThe turnouts are an embarrassment. Often midterm people use their vote as a protest against the incumbents but the fact people can't even get up off their arse and do that speaks volumes.
If CCFC lose a game, that's on us. You have to look at what happened during the match and ascertain how we do better next time. Blaming the opposition, their supporters, the referee, and the weather will not contribute to a more successful result next time.
Labour are getting what they deserved I think, and I have touched on this recently by saying that I personally believe a lot of people vote Tory as the 'lesser of two evils'. How much that is correct or not is a matter of opinion, but it keeps happening so there must be legs there somewhere. I don't think everyone who doesn't vote Labour is a Tory lover or whatever, but as someone touched on earlier, there seems to be those that think an explanation is owed as to why someone didn't vote in a particular way. That isn't just simply down to it being a political discussion, there is a tone and a sense of sneering which just turns people off.
Again, for the record, I voted for neither, and dislike both parties.
I specifically said voters. Although I assume she also would be a Labour voter, you would hope...Its people asking on a football message board mate, Idont think Lisa Nandy's got a login

You'd think they'd be glad to have an excuse to get out then .... also, we're told all Tory voters are old and will have been killed off by covid so they should have less of the popular votePandemic probably doesn't help, tbf
Thought people hated gesture politics? Another Labour turn off apparently.Wow. Turns out they really did love those claps!
The fact its a football message board is irrelevant, is how large amounts of Labour voters behave across social media in general. People don't need to explain themselves to smug, passive aggressive fuckwits online. In which case the first half of the sentence still applies!
Looking at the votes in my own ward total votes is about the same. Anecdotal but I also know a couple of people who don’t usually vote in council elections because they can’t be arsed to go to the polling station but specifically because of Covid they’ve registered for postal voting and voted I the council elections for the first time ever.Pandemic probably doesn't help, tbf
The gains for the tories are humongous. Why would going woke explain the loss of votes to Lib Dem’s and Green?
You’re probably getting wound up by bots and professional trolls . Not real people. The fact its a football message board is irrelevant, is how large amounts of Labour voters behave across social media in general. People don't need to explain themselves to smug, passive aggressive fuckwits online.
That doesn't apply to you, just for record. I think you're alright most the time.

I'm not getting wound up at all, its an observation. Also, it's definitely not bots, it's very real people. You’re probably getting wound up by bots and professional trolls . Not real people.

The people disillusioned with wokeness went Tory, the ultra woke, now without their lightning rod Corbyn, went green. Leaving Labour in no man's land. The loss to anti woke was greater than the loss to woke, so evo is right.Right but a lot of votes are also going to Green/LD, what would being too woke have to do with that?

I don't even like the term woke but I think that pretty much sums it up.

Don't think those asking what the attraction is to voting Conservative are sneering, I certainly don't intend to come over that way. Its a genuine question. I look at what's happened since the Conservative came to power in 2010 and can't think of a single reason I would vote for them, if I'm missing something obvious everyone else knows I'd like to know what it is!there seems to be those that think an explanation is owed as to why someone didn't vote in a particular way. Well of course every individual has their own reasons. But I think largely, the very quick summary stands.I’m not woke at all I just wanted better local provisions and not to be laughed at by the party leader
