Do you want to discuss boring politics? (21 Viewers)

Clearly not. Hence the “encryption is terrorism” shite not so long ago.

A good sign for what GCHQ haven’t managed to crack is what the politicians use TBF.

But any govt minister should have strict infosec policies that should preclude this crap. There has to be a paper trail, surely?
Imagine if HMRC came calling and you said you'd lost all your financial records....

You’d hope there’s a full paper trail of all key decisions, however, wasnt it hancock who deleted some of his emails/what’s apps about certain contracts ? It’s totally unprofessional. In my old job where we had to file note any key decisions, strategy etc we’d have been slaughtered if the regulator came in and we said sorry, it’s on what’s app and I’ve deleted it.

Not sure why Sunak doesn’t want to deliver up his. Obviously there’s someone on the other end of each and every message which the inquiry will pick up so wondering if it’s non covid related ?! 🤷‍♂️
Could make a rule that anything not done through official channels and is now lost/deleted will be presumed to be dodgy and will be prosecuted as such.

Can’t buy a house, can’t build a house, can’t live in a tent, can’t lay on a bench.

May as well just make Soylent green at this point otherwise what are we doing?

You can say what you want about the kings speech today but when you are having to include bills about banning rickshaws from central London to fluff out your king speech you really have nothing left to give

Totally out of ideas. I’ve always been sympathetic to Sunak as he was dealt a turd hand from Johnson and Truss but he needs to come up with better than that. Also keeping all the old boys/girls in the cabinet rather than just using it as an opportunity to get a load of new blood in and clear the shit out* he’s not helped himself.

*this maybe also helped with his argument that he could be considered as the change candidate

He’s over a barrel. No support really in the wider PCP, got in on a technicality in effect and by trying to keep the right inside has ruined he rep as a steady pair of hands. I’m not even sure who he is targeting. Brexit ultras think he stabbed boris in the back and has fucked Brexit, old school Tories don’t like his handling of the economy and general nastiness. He’s basically there as a political bullet sponge until they’re forced to have an election.

Just watched Starmers speech in parliament today and although I’ve been critical of late of him I’ve got to hand it to him, he sounded like a PM in waiting today. In stark contrast watching Sunak listening to it he had the air of someone who’s already contemplating what his next job will be. The Tory benches as a whole was very muted for the most part, it’s was like they were at a funeral.

didn't realise they'd delayed their "flagship" crime bill as they were too busy fighting over the the home secretary trying on purpose to get herself sacked

Yes, another Truss where in a year's time the cretinous media will speculate on whether she was right

The main problem is it's easier for mental ideas to gain credence in opposition, when you don;t actually have to try them out!

Braverman could be toast by the end of the day

Total loose canon. Sunak should never have appointed her in the first place and had sufficient justifications after her previous misdemeanours. Said before and I’ll say it again but his best chance would’ve been a full clearout and start again with new blood especially if he’s going for candidate of change

By trying to placate the right of the party he’s blown it. Should’ve said you either support me or you’re out, like Starmers did to some extent

Yeah, I suspect public opinion of Sunak at the beginning was boring but competent... and that gave him a fighting chance after Johnson and Truss!

All this witchhunting nonsense though, it doesn't sit well.

I mean, WTF ?! A group of mosques calling for the removal of a democratically elected* party leader ?! And how will the removal of the opposition leader ensure they get an ‘immediate and unconditional ceasefire’ ?!

This just gets more bizarre by the day

*well, democratically ish by members and unions
