Ah yes, the Tories of 2009, when Cameron promised to nationalise rail, go net zero in five years and bring in a raft of workers rights.

it's the first round you fucking plum and your lads only got about 33%, we'll see what happens after the 2nd round of voting but yes 33% a few % above the far left.

Bit of a strange reaction. All I've said is that this thread hasn't taken the results well, which you've evidently qualified.

How do you think it plays out esb?

Who knows mate, but the French have clearly had enough. All that can be sure is calling everyone that doesn't agree with you or has different views on immigration a racist, is unlikely to make them listen and vote differently. There's better ways to have constructive conversations, but the same lessons don't seem to get learned. The way this is going at the moment shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

What makes them a racist is putting stopping foreigners above all else. It’s easy to say net zero migration when you don’t have to deal with multiple sectors falling apart because of it.

because people are more interested in the general election that is taking place in the country we mostly live in

I couldn't give a fuck if 2/3 of French voters didn't vote for the far right, it means nothing to anyone yet as the 2nd round of voting hasn't happened. The only people it matters to is weirdos like you.

There's always an excuse though, isn't there?

I know you couldn't give a fuck. If you did, maybe you would end up being on the winning side of some elections for once.

Excuse? there's still the 2nd round of voting and Le Pen is backing away from them winning enough seats to form a government.

The party I support is massive favourites to win on Thursday, so sorry but unlike you I'm not sad enough to try and flex online about the prospects of a far right party in a country you are not from.

Get a life mate and you may actually have some friends.

Right, so all the millions of people that voted for this one particular party are all 'racist'. Surely you don't believe that.

Many are just uninformed, but that’s allowed as a voter. It’s politicians jobs to present workable realistic alternatives not promise the earth in the hope of a quick tax break.

If you look at voters who want lower immigration they mostly don’t want any workers or students banned or genuine asylum seekers. They want companies to bring in who they need and students to study here to subsidise UK students. The problem seems to be they want this but also want to restrict numbers. But can’t point to any numbers of significance they want to reduce. Farage and co are vague as fuck and when people try and pin them down they go off on a tangent or say things like “oh well only bring builders in for a few years then train our own” like industry doesn’t try that and without and clear plan on how to improve training outcomes.

I don’t know how you square that circle.

The party you support are going to win for more or less the only reason that they aren't the Tories, who are an absolute abomination. I don't know a single person in real life that actually likes Starmer, I don't think on this thread there really is either. Hardly a massive flex, is it?

You've been on the wrong side of the win in so many votes now, because you refuse to listen to the other side of the debate. You just shut people down and call them names.

Also, please don't make me laugh any more. I haven't got mates? You're on here having a drunken rambling rage at 2pm in the afternoon about a French election you supposedly don't care about.

Yes, I agree with you on this. No one has come up with any credible answers. However, demonising people who want lower immigration and calling them racist has become ridiculous to the extent that now many more right wing parties are winning more votes because people have had enough of being belittled and will just say 'fuck off' and go and vote for them anyway. It isn't just that people are thick and drink the kool aid of people like Nick Griffin.

Given that the left parties essentially campaign for open borders, how are they realistically going to get any traction. It's getting stupid, and very polarised. On another thread we've got people saying half the USA are racist because they're voting for Donald Trump. Most normal people cannot take that type of thing seriously I'm afraid.

If you read the small print they’re not even really offerings net zero immigration. There’s a load of caveats. Such as net zero except for this sector, that sector or another sector. They’re not really offering anything different to what’s already in place, they’ve just rebranded it.

Bit like Boris dropping the 100k net immigration pledge that was in place when he took over and introduced an “Australian” points based system instead, which turned out to be nothing like the Australian points based system in reality and led to the highest immigration figures since 1945.

We’ve not long recorded our largest immigration numbers since 1945 having “taken back control” of our borders.

We were far better off with FOM in the EU and far tighter restrictions on non EU migration if the numbers bother you.

You're missing a black spot somewhere between 1945 and 2016 Tony. Nice try though.

Not entirely sure how a swell of support for a racist party makes them not racist either.

There are certain notable historical racists who had an amount of popular support after all, and not sure we want to take the logical step of declaring them not racist because of said support...

As I said, rent free...

-Replied to a topic I was talking about because you can't resist
-Got triggered
-Got more triggered when I laughed at your post which again was insinuating that everyone who doesn't agree with you is racist
-Somehow twist it to living rent free in my head and start crying about it, needing to post again to tell everybody

I mean this in the nicest way, but go and sort your life out.

Pretty sure that 764K net migration recorded in 2022 is the current record since 1945. If you know better I’m all ears.

What’s most interesting is 2023 figures. They dropped overall but that was largely due to a large drop in numbers from Hong Kong (presume the HK settlement scheme has ended) and Ukraine. If you take HK and Ukraine out of figures for both 2022 and 2023 then 2023 was actually higher.

Where were you between 1998 and 2015? You're missing the whole point here in order to try and jizz yourself over Brexit.

The Tories being shit in the last couple of years combined with some unprecedented world events doesn't erase the unsustainable level of mass migration that has happened within the period of 1998 - 2015, which guess what, was when we were still in the European Union. You really are a parody.

Here's an interesting video which I think could be helpful for some of you in here. Probably a bit less echo-chamber, and a bit more real world.

You point actual facts to him and he calls them "excuses". The fucking immigrant who hates immigrants
Yeah it ain't a great look to laugh at ONS stats on immigration but, I'd expect nothing else. Charitably, he's a sophisticated troll. Unfortunately the reality is someone who needs to stop watching YouTube videos in their bedsit all day.

I suspect he can afford a lot of rent.

Your rather stupid behaviour of portraying people with different views to you of lacking wealth and intellect says a lot more about your insecurity than his.
