Everything would suggest despite the fans opinions the people who actually own the club don’t see the stadium as key unless it’s an absolute bargain.

I'd have still appreciated him having a think about where we were playing next season and how to go about it before buying the club, though.

You can go as far to say whats the point of owning a football ground in modern times, gate receipts at places like Man City and Chelsea have no bearing on what they spend, its the sponsorship and off field activities that need to generate more cash. As a club could we afford to run a stadium that has been loss making? Maybe the "we need our own ground to make money" statements from Sisu were a red herring?

I agree they are, what I am saying is will they be diluted if we have a ground with a mortgage and day to day running costs. 13000 season tickets at the early bird price is £4.5 million, if you negotiate half a million rent a year the rest goes towards improving the squad and servicing wages. Owning the CBS just diminishes that pot its whether Dk wants the money in the playing staff or bricks and mortar. If you have a long lease you have a fixed cost.

They presented it in terms of CCFC needing to own a stadium as a reliable source of additional income / profit to help fund the football. Neither the Arena nor the pretended new stadium were ever likely to do that, and the transparent agenda was that they wanted to pick up real estate for next to nothing. Having wasted more than a decade of our time distressing first the Council and then Wasps, they have finally given up, having been blown out of the water by the big boys. Maybe retaining the 15% was just a way of reducing the humiliation by making the exit in two steps?

I would try and negotiate a 20 year lease with 4 year break clauses so you can reassess where you are, that way if we reach the promised land you would expect the cost to go up and like wise if you get relegated it can go down. Fraser group would then have a fixed income for there accounts which helps them budget for a fixed period and we have a set cost. They would probably want to insert something if you manged to achieve promotion early but to build the way DK and MR want 4 years seems about right if you are tying players down to longer contracts. I just think that running a stadium like the CBS is a distraction from what we really want which is success on the pitch. Tottenham have one of the nicest stadiums in world football but the fans are still unhappy because they want to see them doing well on the pitch.

Buying a distressed debt means your always going to get a kicking from the big boys at some point. With us they were looking for a quick profit that never arrived, when you are buying something for a quid you aren't bidding against the likes of Fraser Group. One would suggest that you dont have a lot of money in the first place unless you have a consistent record of turning things round for onward sale. The divorce was always going to happen, it just took longer than we all wanted.

No, keep it as it is, as I’d rather them play as is than pay a premium for the same football

The original deal was a license too, yet one with a ridiculous premium attached. Remember the negotiations in 2012 SISU specifically cited it being a license.
