He chased a through ball Friday and looked frightening Bloke behind us was surprised how quick he looked, then he laid off a ball and it shanked out for a throw in, just looks like he concentrates so hard on just doing the simple things, looks a really nervous player, maybe that’s the problem , just needs to relax a bit,

It’s been said before - Simms attracts attention from the defenders which creates room for Haji and Jack - while he may not be in the goals his role is pretty critical imo

Great he attracts attention - well worth his transfer fee and wages alone

Simms is what he is. He’s capable of getting a decent amount of goals at this level which is an obvious asset. But his all round game is severely lacking with things such as controlling the ball and passing being way off. As a professional I’d expect him to be working on that relentlessly but there is no improvement.

Josh Sargent might make a very interesting partner for Haji when we go up. Just a thought but those two are the stand out strikers in the Championship.
Add Sainz to your list while you’re at it.

He’s just not anywhere near good enough

I could attract attention with a life jacket and whistle..Doesn’t mean I’d make it as a professional footballer.

He’s not good enough.

If we’re still in this league I’d look at moving him on to a bottom half side who have a bit of cash to spend

Stoke? 😂

He was poor today, didn't show strength, hold up the ball and when he had the chance to run on to the ball first half still ended up losing the ball. He is not the answer, I wanted him to be but he doesn't have the fight or belief

He's poor, we need better.

Anyone going to defend him today? Or Collins. Whole team were bad, but those two were utterly dreadful.
MvE was poor today, but that's uncharacteristic for him, so probably down to fatigue.

Collins and Simms are weak links, and have been all season.

He’s got the ability to be effective, but his 1st touch is woeful. Turns up 1 in 5, which isn’t good enough

We have a few of these types of player! Allen, Simms, Lati, Collins, Sakamoto all don’t seem to be able to be consistently decent. A game here n there! To push on we need players who can perform 95% of the time.

Used to defend Simms but it's becomingly increasingly hard. His touch is genuinely, unbelievably poor for a professional. He offers absolutely nothing.

Awful today. EMC comes back in and Wright goes up front. I'm sure Lampard sees it this way too.
