I’m not sure that Henderson and Maguire should be in the team. Maguire isn’t playing at all, and Henderson has moved to a piss poor league.

At absolute best - indifferent performance(s) but on the road to almost assured qualification, given all that, a decent away point.
Over to the egg chuckers now and what I anticipate - a similar level of frustration.

Best English players we have.

I'm sure Southgate is thinking how he can get Phillips in for next week.

Henderson's recent move won't have affected his ability for which he's been previously selected for the national team.
Might raise a few eyebrows if he's a squad inclusion for the finals next summer though.
Maguire should never be near a football pitch above Lg 1.

Yes - what's so strange about that?

Well as a country it’s human rights record isn’t great regarding race and homosexuality for a start. They aren’t exactly a bunch of Liberal Democrats in reality and not a country normally we’d have any affinity to and would rather distance ourselves from them I’d have thought

That was dog shit.
yep. I had a bet on scotland to beat us at 5/1 last week. they’re now 7/2. 100% get beat tuesday. it’s their 150th anniversary match, gentleman Gareth will probably hand them the game. Watch him give kalvin Phillips his first game in months, Last time we played up there he picked Jake Livermore to start.

Looking for a goal and we have a midfield of Rice Henderson Gallagher on the pitch with Eze sat on the bench

I wouldn’t have picked Henderson previously to his move if I’m honest. We have some amazing and quick creative players… he just slows everything down.
McFazdean is better than Maguire IMO

Tbf Maguire did step up and take a penalty in the Euro final.

Getting pretty fed up of Southgate and his over cautiousness.

And of course Maguire and Henderson should not be in the starting XI.

I was in and out with a BBQ and music on the go in the house at the time, but were there boo's when Saka got the ball in the first half?

Had the radio commentary on, but when I went past the TV, it seemed he was booed every time he got the ball from what I saw briefly?

OK - no empathy for their people then, who are obviously all of the same mindset? I know you like being contrary, but if you can't see the suffering they are going through as individuals and as a nation, then that's a shame.

It's depressing enough reading the abject misery on this thread without the Ukraine war thread merging in too.

The family that came to us were very shell shocked and upset and distraught.

Those Ukrainian flags gave them hope and cheered them tremendously.

Every time they saw a Ukrainian flag, it brought a smile to their sad faces.

That's very commendable and genuinely fair play to you offering a family somewhere safe to live.

I'm on about the self righteous lot who "Stand with Ukraine" by waving the flag outside their house because the news told them to, but wouldn't offer any genuine help to refugees.

That's my missus' dad. 😂

He has a massive house, is a millionaire and stuck a huge Ukrainian flag on his big drive gates

Didn't offer up his home for a family though.

Thought the flag was enough support.

Who are they and how do you know what people have and haven't done? And again - why are those who have done nothing other than flown Ukraine flags, nonces?

Sven only ever lost 3 competitive England games btw , lost to one of the best Brazilian sides of the last 50 years , lost to good Portugal side on pens in 2004 (I'd argue we should have won) and again on pens in 2006

I doubt Southgate would have done any better tbh , sven also has a better competitive win ratio than Southgate

Like I said , Morocco made the semi final of the last world cup , does that make their manager better than Southgate as they actually beat some top 10 sides like Spain Portugal and Belgium whereas England lose to any decent side they play at tournaments under Southgate

Think you're looking into the nonce bit rather than the actual point. Maybe I should have called them sanctimonious cunts instead?
