If a delivery van breaks down or Hummel send shirts late, I'm not sure what the club can do.
The comms is absolutely an issue but people would be angry regardless.
In my experience, the way to minimise customer issues is to get the comms right. It's about being open, honest, and fair to people, especially when things have gone wrong.
The club consistently screw up on this, and people are understandably annoyed. Thinking people should just shut up and put up with it because they're supporters isn't living in the real world, imho.
Season ticket holders and people who are willing to commit to advance orders for kit are your key customers, and deserve nothing less than the best service.
The club don't need defending, and people with reasonable complaints shouldn't be criticised.
The club need to be aware there's an issue and they need to put a proper process in place to stop it happening in the future. It's definitely not out of their hands and the problem here is more than just a van breaking down.
