Sadly he may still benefit. Running Lando off seems to have ruined any chance of him getting into the top 2, and Max will probably still finish 4/5.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he finds a way to come together with Lewis somehow yet. Probably end up getting another penalty for driving like a dickhead as well.

And now Perez gets nothing for forcing Stroll off? This is getting like bloody football with the officials.

Driver regs need a desperate sorting out. Could see a Prost/senna situation if gets close by the end of the season. Verstappen drove like a complete arsehole there. Ridiculous Norris gets track warnings here when Verstappen gets the penalties for forcing off the track.
actually think Norris is driving well. the new Ferrari pace is something that people didn't see coming.

Ferrari have well and truly arrived haven't they.

With regards to Max and his driving terrorism, the Stewards have had years to get on top of the situation. The big chance they had was Brazil 2021. Every one and their dog knew that Max should have had a penalty for that one. And because they did nothing, they've enabled this behaviour ever since.

You can't race against that. You just can't. If they don't get it sorted, sooner or later he's going to get someone hurt.

Love Ferrari being quickest. Whatever they did from.Baku has worked a treat!

Max is a whopper. Deserved his penalties. Pressures on and he soon reverts to type. Shame to see as he has the pace of the all time greats, he doesn't need to be like he is

Slight flaw with this argument, Christian. Largely because everybody watching the race actually saw Lando making the corner until he got a face full of Red Bull....

What started as a grim season has exploded into a really good one. If Merc, Ferrari & McLaren could have got the pre-season right it could have been a great one. Not sure how often it's being mentioned but the sprint races could be the deciding factor. Max has taken a max 32 points cored to Lando's 15 - that 17 pts could be decisive.

All cars converging performance wise

Do we add that session to the Norris fumble list? He looked in another postcode until the last lap.

Id say so

If he somehow manages to become champion, which i doubt, it will be the most uninspiring world champion since Villeneuve in 97 for me

In a williams that was over a second faster than Michael's Ferrari for 3/4 of the season and he only scraped it last few laps of the last race

In classic Norris style, he's absolutely bottling this.

I'm so torn because I want it to go to the last race, but I also think Norris is nowhere near deserving a title so the other part of me wants Max to embarrass him to show how shite Lando is

Piastri again schooling Lando in difficult conditions

I forgot Quali was on, saw some posts on here and popped the radio on. Not quite what I was expecting.

Norris has to capitalize on this. Max will be starting 17th with the penalty. Dodgy conditions forecast for the race itself. Chance to really claw back points. Could this be one of those races that due to bad conditions an outsider could actually come through aand win??

I wouldn't want to be an Aston Martin mechanic today, probably been up best part of all night, now they've got two cars to rebuild in the next few hours.

Earning their money today.

Going to be a great race as long as it doesn't smash it down

Ever there's a race when Norris has to get his start right it's this one. Let everybody else worry about having to overtake when the rain comes again. But it's going to be a yellow flag race so itcould be the pitwall strategists that decide this one.
