If he was good enough he would have found a championship club or top end league one club. He didn’t

Moore has played less than a season of championship games hasn’t he and never has been considered first choice at this level anywhere?

Same here, last 3 seasons

20/21 4 appearances
19/20 2 appearances
18/19 19 appearances

For a reserve keeper with two of those season in the prem? That seems like a step up from Marosi to me.

he wasn’t selected in the premier league squad of 25 was he?

Bizarre recruitment if we're bringing in Moore and another keeper after giving Wilson a new contract.

I assume the other is a loan with a recall clause in January and we will loan Wilson out until then

Could we just not be after 2 GKs? This guy as new number 2 and then a first choice, Wilson is nowhere near good enough and we wouldn't want another season with him between the sticks but if the management don't rate the kids then it's a cheap and easy fix to have Wilson as 3rd choice.

I seriously doubt that’s the case, second choices get used scarcely as it is. Wilson has shown himself to be “okay” at Championship level, he needs to look for new advisors if he’s agreed to that

He isn't the most exciting signing, but let's be honest, there are no realistic goalkeeper targets that are gonna excite me. I didn't see Marosi's name and get giddy. Despite not being the world's best keeper, the improvement on what we had seen previously was amazing. So, let's hope Moore has a similar impact. I spoke to a lad from our Sheffield office who's a Blades fan who's opinion I respect. His words:
"He was excellent in league one and then we never really played him again after that apart from his two appearances against Man U, conceded 6. Talk about getting chucked in the deep end. He's probably still got it at champ level which is where we got him from, think he'd become Cardiff's second choice"
I imagine the League One aspect is how we would describe Marosi ourselves, so let's just hope he's a bit of an improvement there. He hasn't cost the world, let's just give him a chance. I am worried from the reaction on here that any slight hesitation in the opening fixtures will see it become toxic very quickly.

Want a kleenex with that response?

Bilson and Tyler teacher is not the responsibility of the No 1 keeper but the Goal Keeping Coach and his colleagues
Agree he should set an example and give them somebody to aspire to become, but not their teacher.

he really didn’t mate, the Blackpool keeper did

I made the same mistake as you, there are two teams of the season, Burge was in the official one.

We have no idea for the plans for the players that management have, maybe they wants the kids out on loan playing football, maybe they don't rate them at all and not even trusted to be 3rd choice. Wilson really isn't a okay championship player, he made a few good saves but he was largely pritty poor and we ended up being forced to play with him.

I don't see the big deal in having Wilson and 2 new keepers. Yes, Wilson has just signed a new 2 year deal, but it might have even been on reduced terms. He swapped the 1 year left on his contract for the security of a 2 year deal. I would imagine that wage wise he's relatively cheap. The problem with any new player you can't guarantee anything. At least with Wilson MR knows the player. He's just played 27 games in the championship in a season where we stayed up.

When does a third choice goalkeeper get used? Even in the event of injuries to both, the club would draft someone in on loan like we did with Stockdale.

The club has done some stupid things in my time but this would be up there, especially with what little budget we have.
What would you have done then ?
