No , it’s been mentioned Fulham are after him for said £15M which suggests to me they’ve looked around and there’s no one out there with his quality they could afford. If there was with proven Premiership quality they would out priced . We all know Hamer has that quality and we should keep/give him what he wants £20-£22k a week .
If he wants to go then sell , no good keeping him ( like Vik )

Fulham even in their championship promotion season we’re paying £50 grand a week to their players on average

I’m just on about whether he’s signed a contract, to me it’s the agent trying to drum up interest, therefore I doubt a contract has been signed

but yes there could be no real concrete interest I agree
What has helped us is Hamer's injury. How many clubs are happy with signing an injured player?

Yeah

he’s pretty much back from injury
Back to my previous comment.

What club would be happy to sign a player not back from injury. He would need to pass a medical. They would have to pay him and hope there is no setback. Wouldn't be covered by insurance. Bit of a gamble for what should be a decent transfer fee.

From our perspective, he wouldn't need a full medical before signing a new contract as we know his history etc but he would still need to pass some sort of medical to renew his insurance, any hold up if there is one could easily be to do with his injury

I would love hamer to stay and I hope he does as it would be a massive boost for us. However, there’s nothing to say we haven’t now offered him what he wants and he still doesn’t want to sign or is weighing his options up. No one knows what the situation is.

I didn’t dream this did I but I’m sure the telegraph ran an article a month or so ago of an interview he did in Holland that basically read as a come and get me plea to Feyenoord?
He basically said that he wants to play for Feyenoord again, but that they may resent paying a big fee for someone they got rid of. It read almost like he had a point to prove there.
That’s from memory…..

So like some have suggested he could play out his contract to go back there if he really wants to.

To be honest would just love to know either way. Would be hard to lose hamer and vik in one window so if he runs his contract down although shit for the club maybe would help with transition. Would rather get a fee tho.

Not for us. He is already insured.

Not so, Signing a new contract changes a player's value ergo, new insurance policy.
I'm sure he would still be insured. Maybe just for a lower amount. A new signing would be a totally different matter.

Insurance is covered by being named as being contracted to the club and disclosed to the Insurance company. For instance Cardiff and Sala. Cardiff didn't add him as a named player so wasn't covered.

The other thing we are not factoring in. He may have international ambitions...why wouldnt he?

Does he get in the Dutch squad playing championship football- highly unlikely.

The minute he gos to premier league club even if it's a Burnley or Fulham (assuming he plays week in out he Will be in the dutch squad).

Very true, but I imagine the club hasn’t gave him a contract that meets his demands, otherwise he’d have signed by now.

I’m not talking ridiculous figures as I could understand that from the clubs perspective of course, but for supposed 20 grand we should be doing this

if we get 15 for him I’d take it, but delusional to think we’ll be up there next year without couple seasons of consolidation
Maybe he doesn’t actually want to sign a new one.

He actually said if Feyenoord offered him a contract he'd definitely say yes but you have to take Into account that he's talking to a Dutch paper so he may just be telling them what they want to hear. In the same Interview he also says he has ambitions of playing in the Premier League. Then on top of that factor in the interview was in Dutch and then translated to English which doesn't always work well and you have no idea if the paper is quoting him accurately or not.
Then you have to take timing and circumstances into account, imagine his agent has told him to do an interview with the Dutch press cos he's heard Feyenoord are interested. Or he's heard whispers Coventry are looking to cash in on him at the end of the season.

That's before you consider that footballers often just say stupid shit.

Saw this on twitter, is this run by a Coventry fan and without a source mentioned, can the assumption be made that this is likely bollox?

I think it probably is but i also think the links to other clubs are. I guess wait and see but personally i'm optimistic he's staying as for some reason i reckon we're going to be surprisingly ambitious this summer.

Absolutely love the language these bullshit accounts use 😂

'We are hearing' to suggest without actually claiming it that there is a buzzing office full of people with fingers on the pulse at SkyBluesTweets HQ gaining new intel all the time

They have been teasing us with the images. 4 year contract is my bet.
