I’ll say it again. The country has gone mad
"despicable".
I'll say it again, it's reminding me of COVID.

I don't quite see that. Covid killed an awful lot of people and gave many more a long term illness. Understandably a large number of people were worried about catching it or passing it on.
Anti-vax loons and "it's no worse than flu" chunterers made full use of freedom of speech and action, even though it had some entirely expected consequences. I don't remember any of them being arrested.
This is an entirely different thing, imho. Where I'd agree though is that the FA, EFL etc., clearly has its head up its arse. Did we really expect anything better from them though?

I’ll quote the late Robin Williams.I agree with them, it's absolutely despicable that they played the same time that all the other sports were playing without consequence
No sport was forced to close. By law, do you mean the Football Authorities? In hindsight it was a pathetic decision to cancel the matches on Saturday. The EFL and Premier League did’nt think it through.I’ll quote the late Robin Williams.
It’s like partial circumcising. Either go all the way or forget it.
I’m sure it’s just coincidental that what’s viewed as more elitist sports went ahead while the sport of the plebs had to cancel in respect and face the law if they didn’t.
It’s a blessing not having to listen to Keith Lemon scream Foxy Bingo or 32 Red Casino at 200 decibels for a few days.Christ, looks like they did - ITV and Channel 4 among those axing adverts after the Queen’s death
This is usually the moment in the week where we tell you about what’s on sale at The Ticket Factory, although this week’s newsletter is a little different to usual.
On Thursday evening last week we were saddened to hear about the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II, the UK’s longest serving Monarch. The Queen spent more than 70 years on the throne, with summer 2022 marking her Platinum Jubilee.
Our thoughts are with the King and the Royal Family at this time.
As a mark of respect, we won’t be highlighting our upcoming events in this week’s email, but you can find out the latest information from The Ticket Factory and details of any events affected on our website.
Very respectful, going to buy loads off them now!
We’re spamming you to tell you that outbid respect we won’t be spamming you.
Capitalist modelSomeone was telling me earlier that Tesco’ are closing their stores for the day except the ones near to where the crowds will be gathering in London.

I think it may be a good idea not to take any holidays for the next three years. As a mark of respect.
Spinning it on its head though, I just ate a bar of chocolate, because I believe that is what the Queen would have wanted.Maybe we can start reporting our neighbours who have smiled too?
Makes sense she has served a long time

Can I add Phillip Schofield? It’s a blessing not having to listen to Keith Lemon scream Foxy Bingo or 32 Red Casino at 200 decibels for a few days.
Not enough tears - 4L or a minimum of 2 full days crying corroborated by both neighboursI still think a lockdown until every person has filled a 2L bottle with tears.
I think any reference to this really have to be in pints/gallons tbf.Not enough tears - 4L or a minimum of 2 full days crying corroborated by both neighbours
Haha
You know what, it was wonderful for the brief time allotted. It’s a blessing not having to listen to Keith Lemon scream Foxy Bingo or 32 Red Casino at 200 decibels for a few days.
Yet another unhinged article - Harry and Meghan hold hands throughout Westminster Hall
I wonder why they didn’t dedicate an article to the other couples holding hands? Hmmm.
One of the consequences will be, it'll give Liz and Kwasi the opportunity to say 'we can't help out with any energy bills yet as we are still in mourning'. What a win as soon as she's PMI take Nick's point, without completely agreeing perhaps...
I wonder if this endless media fawning and overblown corporate wailing is going to have unintended consequences.
I've gone from "don't necessarily agree but no harm in showing some respect", through "this is getting a bit much now", to "FFS where do I sign up to be a republican!".
