If Palmer is injured it's a shame. He hasn't been at his best the last couple of games but was playing very well in the first few games. I think that Ayari will start in his place unless Allen is fit in which case he will start. I guess he is probably only good for a few minutes still though.

Are we really that bad now?
"The one thing he appeared to add to his game was an exceptional work-rate - something he'd been criticised for during his time at Ashton Gate - but that, coupled with his outstanding technical ability has helped him become one of the best playmakers in the Championship."

Team leaking goals, players very quiet per MR which I can only infer to mean low morale/confidence, key injuries mounting, fans frustrated….. doesn’t bode well unfortunately. A loss here would be very bad despite it being early in the season.

Even though the drive down and back will be a ball ache, I'm starting to appreciate the game being moved. Got to spend Saturday watching a load of other football, stayed relatively sober and am actually looking forward to Monday for once.

It's the Blackpool game, you can't just ignore it because it doesn't suit your narrative.

And I explained why Palmer didn't start after the international break. You ignored that too.

It's you that won't have a sensible debate.

he will then say you’ve been drinking - it’s pointless debating with him

I just hope that if we win against Huddersfield tomorrow the team doesn’t suddenly forget that the previous 8 games only contained 1 win and some pretty poor performances. Not saying it’s easy to beat Huddersfield, and a win is a win of course, but they’ve just got a new manager and they’re basically a bottom 5 side anyway so it won’t be some sort of triumphant return to form. We’ll need to keep upping our performances and not rest on our laurels after this game as we have a load of tricky fixtures coming up.
I reckon we’ll smash Huddersfield 3-1 tomorrow but I just hope the performance from the Cardiff game doesn’t vanish from the memory of the team and fans.

Need a win tonight, too much negativity atm, some of it uncalled for, is disappointing with the Sheaf and Milan injuries. Squad needs some confidence and I'm sure they'll all click.

Wright and Simms still have so much to offer and still think Simms will start scoring starting with tonight.

So we can win but you still want us all to remember the negativity?

Well what would you like then? For us to resort back to playing like we did in the Cardiff game?
I’m not saying we should be depressed if we win and there’s a blanket ban on anyone cheering if we score, I’m just saying that I hope the team doesn’t think that a win at Huddersfield means we’re suddenly back in form and amazing again. Got to remember that Huddersfield are basically clueless compared to the likes of Leeds, Leicester, Hull, Preston, Birmingham, Milwall etc etc.

When have we been in form?

Points don’t matter really at this stage. We need a performance though. We need to start seeing this team click and progress. A little less deer in the headlights and a little more cock and balls.

Struggling for midfielders, struggling for strikers ……if we do win it will be a headed goal from a defender and backs to the wall to keep them out for a 1-0.
Not confident …..
