Why does @shmmeee find this funny?
I am shocked. You tried to play down his impact last month after I correctly predicted hed got us close to top half by that point you posted a pic saying were only 3 positions better off or something
The ex agenda crew no longer support him but I notice they never challenge his nonsense either. Loyalty I guessWell, his views on Lampard aren’t exactly a secret and this run of form was destroyed that worldview. The meltdown post-Norwich summed it up.

Can't really argue with the table since his first game. I was sceptical but willing to give him a chance and have been pleasantly surprised
I'm not trying to discredit Lampard's record, because it is good so far and long may it continue. But last season we did maintain 4 months of 2 points per game, which is an even better ppg record, until the cup run did us over. Can't really argue with the table since his first game. "A word salad from a guy who has nothing to say" - The irony of this.I think some of Paxmans drivel is as bad. Always interesting to see who likes these posts as well
"These are good players. The coaching has been off since it was changed early in the year. Robin's had problems with it and Vivash clearly had issues. You can see players are not sure of their roles. The Vivash/Robin's combination would have continued their good work and had us top six. Where did it go wrong since an FA Cup semi final with the same players? Lampard is not the answer but Doug King wanted to set the club up like a good salesman with huge improvements around the place, track suit wearing coaches and fitness guru's. The problem is you play on a footbal pitch and if you let the players think they just have to turn up then inevitably they are found wanting. Back to basics, with a good manager is what we need and lampard imo will never be it. If you are given a brilliant start after 4 minutes and then even missed easy chances to put the game out of sight then find yourself 4-1 down is a sign of a lack of control and basic coaching ability. Like so many great players they are hopeless coaches. Do we still have Robin's and Vivash's numbers? I see those 27k gates dropping like a stone now...great business King!"
"Just listened to Lampard's press interview. Again what a mess. A word salad from a guy who has nothing to say. The interviewer was leading him along and he fell into it each time. He never once made reference to what they are doing to rectify the last performance, as if he were just filling in the blanks. He may be a nice bloke and a legend to many of us but he does not sound like someone who knows what to do. He just doesn't seem to be in command of anything. You don't just nod and agree with the interviewer on every point? I take no pleasure in having a go at him, but I'm not getting filled with optimism atm."

Frank won't need to average 2 ppg, but hopefully he can keep the current form going and get us into the playoffs!
could portsmouth really have played 6 more games than middlesbrough over the same period ?Can't really argue with the table since his first game. I was sceptical but willing to give him a chance and have been pleasantly surprised

Oh @fernandopartridge ...No new manager bounce though.![]()

He won 3 of the first 9 games in charge, roughly the same win rate as his predecessor. There was not a new manager bounce.
From February onwards we struggled to win games in the league outside of the bottom half teams. We were in the playoffs before Norwich away and we fell off after losing to them, WBA and PNE in quick succession. Every ‘6 pointer’ we played in 2024, we lost.
At the time, many people were grateful we had the Wolves game to avoid playing Hull at home.
Our record against the top half teams last season speaks for itself. We won 4 out of 22 games.
The point is this is what a championship season looks like. Very few teams perform at the same level all season. Every team goes from promotion to relegation form for spells of the season.
Maybe not but as an example west brom picked up 13 points in 13 games between September and December

Blackburn have just won 2 in 11
Boro have just won 3 in 12
That sort of thing
There's the best , the worst and then there's the restEveryone assumes form never changes. We’re going up now cos we’re in good form, we were going down when we weren’t. Someone said we just need to start quickly but we did that a couple of years ago then bombed. That’s what teams at our level do. The idea there’s some level of form we need to hit from day one is a nonsense unless you’re chasing top four really.

It was more the 'every' team part I was questioning. Have any of the top 4 had what we'd consider relegation form this season?Haven’t we done it pretty much every season we’ve been up?

He's also the same person that said lampards results mean nothing as easy fixture list
