He's beaten several teams in the play off hunt in the last few hasn't he?
He’s beaten several teams on terrible runs of form. He’s scraped a couple of close games against Bristol and QPR. First half against Watford aside I’m yet to come away from a game thinking we’ve played well tbh.
Can’t argue with the recent results. I just worry that when he comes up against better teams he’s clueless on how to set us up and that’s kind of needed to win the play offs. Not that I think we’ll make the play offs, but maybe. Maybe I got to used to winning those kinds of games, but it feels necessary for a team of our means to get where we want.
He took over a team hovering around the relegation zone and 'scraping wins' against play off contenders is bad? We're doing what we have to do to win, we actually look streetwise for once. I'm also liking the redemption arc of a defender who cost £4 million quid that would have been bombed out and flushed down the drain under previous management, as if we can afford to just write that off. He’s beaten several teams on terrible runs of form. Glad you arent a Burnley fan then scraping 1-0 wins every game. I really couldnt care less if we won 1-0 playing shit every week. Its clear you will never praise Lampard ever. He could hit 100 points and you would complain he was wearing the wrong type of shoes. He’s beaten several teams on terrible runs of form. He’s scraped a couple of close games against Bristol and QPR. As I say this all hinges on whether you thought we were going down under robins. I didn’t. You did.
Eh? I didn't think we were going down, we'd have been down there though. My opinion was we'd be ok as there's some really bad teams in the league. I wasn't thrilled with that being enough however. As I say this all hinges on whether you thought we were going down under robins. I didn’t. You did.
Not crediting the previous manager for his success is an interesting takeEven by your standards this is desperate.
I think you will find that the last manager succeeded in this league due to outstanding performers.
You really are a clown
Nobody predicted relegation under MR. You actually did under FLAs I say this all hinges on whether you thought we were going down under robins. I didn’t. You did.

This is a bit desperate now tbfAnd mine was it was a fairly normal start to a season that would have picked up to midtable. So it tracks that you’re happy with midtable and I’m a bit meh
Most of our recent wins have been against sides in the top half of the table. Yes we lost to Leeds. But they're flying and scoring goals for fun. We lost against Ipswich who are a Prem side but the difference was the quality of a few of their players and we were missing two of if not our two best players. Can’t argue with the recent results. Yes but we arent putting in attacking displays akin to real Madrid so it makes the wins worthless rememberMost of our recent wins have been against sides in the top half of the table. If he was clueless we wouldn't have climbed the table so quickly.

You talk like Lampard took over a winning side and made them worse. After his first few games we looked awful and weren’t getting results. Now at least we’re getting results.
Most are judging lampard based on his results and using the same set of players that Robins had. Clearly he has improved us and the position. What part opf that do you fail to see? It’s not though. Those who think Lampard is the second coming of Pep thought Robins was “finished” and we were in for an awful season so are amazed that we’re not still down the bottom. Those who thought the squad would generally perform at around the level the stats suggested they should be aren’t.
Robins was finished and no one thinks Lampard is the second coming of Pep. He's doing a much better job than Robins with the same group of players however... same group minus some big injuries i should say. You can even tell the players prefer it under Lampard and can find lots of comments on the level of the training from them. It’s not though. Crazy that we’ve won 5 of our last 6 without playing wellHe’s beaten several teams on terrible runs of form. He’s scraped a couple of close games against Bristol and QPR. First half against Watford aside I’m yet to come away from a game thinking we’ve played well tbh.

He called me a tiki taka FIFA fan because I said I liked how lampard talked about tactics. He made a joke I expected 4 nil wins every week under robinsHas anybody acted like he's the second coming of Pep though? Maybe you just use the exaggeration and a making extremes to try and deflect away from your batshit mental posts.
You literally posted that Robins was getting the best out of the squad so why are you now pretending otherwise?
We looked awful under MR and weren’t getting results either. The difference is MR had burned through more games. After his first few games we looked awful and weren’t getting results. Now at least we’re getting results.
See I think his reputation will get him poached.Little column A little column B.
I think we’ve been OK. Results have been great recently but the football has generally been poor. I don’t think we’d have stayed where we were, this squad is a midtable squad IMO and would have ended up 8-14th or so and that’s still where I expect us to end up. I think Dovins form has been the biggest change, we’re now not going behind or letting in equalisers where we were before, but do we look better generally? No IMO.
I’m disappointed at his inability to set us up or get us motivated for games against better opposition or get us playing any particular style of football. His subs are bizarre as are his tactics and team selections at times. I still don’t see him overachieving with us. People talking about him getting poached by the PL and being some genius manager are losing the plot IMO.
You can judge him now on what he's done so far, which is lift a team from down the bottom of the league to 3 points from the play offs. Some of you are hard to please, it can only be Robins cope, i know some will hate it being said, but that's genuinely all it can be. A complete inability to accept that King was right to do what he did.I wasn't happy MR was sacked and would have given him more time and I was underwhelmed by the appointment of FL and would rather have appointed Eustace or Rosenior. We have improved inder FL, I thought we would under MR, and there have been noticeable tweaks in the way we play, eg one of CBs taking ball forward or breaks from MVE onto through balls, but the football has not been brilliant at times but it's not fair to properly judge FL until Haji, EMC & Sheaf are back. FL has made a couple of howlers and seems to have got away scot free with some of the MR out brigade on here, eg the high press against Leeds after they had just put 7 past Cardiff playing the same way and doing nothing at HT against Portsmouth when he should have taken Binks & JDS off. I am hoping the football improves when Haji etc are back and we revert to a 433/4231 & I hope we start next season without the likes of JDS, Collins, Binks & Lati and have a better balanced squad, then it will be the time to really judge FL.
Looks like you've been watching too much Jackanory. It’s not though. I have said positive & negative things about FL but I did about MR. The football was poor this season under MR apart from a couple of games but it has been poor under FL too. I am now more on the side that sacking MR was the right thing to do so some of your response is wrong, I was just giving FL the benefit of doubt to get the squad he wants before we can properly judge him.You can judge him now on what he's done so far, which is lift a team from down the bottom of the league to 3 points from the play offs. Fair enough, i think you really have to dig for negatives on Lampard atm though. Its an incredible turn around from where Robins left us. We were absolutely desperate. This is what I mean though. In reality we’ve gone from 14th to 10th and you’re making it out like some all time great achievement. Hence my poking in this thread.
