In the cathedral praying in their own language and faith
I just feel that it’s all hopeless and pointless when I think too long

Anyway the litany of reconciliation is a powerful set of words

All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

The hatred which divides nation from nation, race from race, class from class,

Father forgive.

The covetous desires of people and nations to possess what is not their own,

Father, forgive.

The greed which exploits the work of human hands and lays waste the earth,

Father, forgive.

Our envy of the welfare and happiness of others,

Father, forgive.

Our indifference to the plight of the imprisoned, the homeless, the refugee,

Father, forgive.

The lust which dishonours the bodies of men, women and children,

Father, forgive.

The pride which leads us to trust in ourselves and not in God,

Father, forgive.

Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

For the sake of comparison a V2 which carried a ton of explosive far bigger than anything involved here took out a packed Woolworth with if memory serves me right 300 dead and twice that injured.

So if we are to believe the 500 dead number and twice that injured would be normal there will be 1000 injured who were taken away and treated somewhere

Guardian has just walked back it's story.

It’s a hospital - they weren’t in there to get fucking pick n mix…..

Ah yes Woolworths are well known for being as densely populated as hospitals.
Ignore him, he's a troll ad he's someone's burner account. If you look at his posting he's made as many posts about this as he has before that in the last 8 years.

Reason he won't reply is that if he does someone will work out who he really is.

Taking place in quite symbolic surroundings too I imagine.

This was the worst tragedy of the entire V weapon attacks. Reports from a number of witnesses tell
the V2 was seen in its last moments of flight, a line drawn across the grey November sky.
The store bulged outwards and then imploded and in the carnage 168 people were killed and 121
were seriously injured.

As the rocket exploded there was blinding flash of light and an enormous roar followed by a dense
cloud of smoke and powdered dust. Witnesses several hundred yards away felt the warm blast on
their faces, some were physically pushed backward by its force. The Co-Op Store next door also
collapsed killing more people inside. The bodies of passers-by were flung for great distances, and an
army lorry was overturned and destroyed killing its occupants. A double decker bus spun round
causing yet more deaths and injuries,i ts occupants were seen, still sitting in their seats covered in
dust.

There were piles of masonry and pieces of bodies all around, where Woolworth's had been now an
enormous gap. The debris stretched from the town hall to New Cross Gate station and it took 3 days
to clear this and retrieve the bodies from the debris. Today, the site has been totally re-developed
but the extent of the damage area can be seen from where the new buildings commence both in the
New Cross Road and in surrounding streets. Lewisham council have erected a blue plaque on the
building to commemorate the tragedy

Took 3 days back then but Hamas were able to do it so quickly, impressive.

you were quick last night to say Isreal behind the attack yet no actual proof to back that up? do you genuinely believe 500 died going by the photos seen today?

as for the other thread - Sweden v Belgium shootings

Where is tony, Dave and alike condemning what happened? I’m sure it it was a right wing loon attacking Muslims they’d be all over it. the double standards are for all to see.
Why do people have to comment on everything? And why do people keep saying "the silence from some speaks volumes?l" kind of stuff?

Third post in in that thread I put a sad face. I was too shocked and saddened to say anything at the time.

To be fair , I've not seen yourself comment on here or on your twitter about the Christian bloke in America killing the 6 year old Muslim kid

Look I get it , I've argued on this thread about things , but we can't talk about double standards
I believe it was me who posted that story link up and I don't think I commented on it. Just found the whole thing very, very sad.

I think posters read too much in-between the lines at times on here. 😢

read through this

it somehow proves the point. please now show me Hamas proof that Israel committed this explosion? also how anyone can believe Hamas a terrorist group is beyond me. they said 500 killed and 1000’s injured. not one building was even damaged. a parking lot with half dozen cars.

lol the daft posters, people know who they are they jump on every thread. desperate lynch mob who bully. it’s like a echo chamber. same handful of posters spouting rubbish then when someone doesn’t agree with their opinion get pounced on.

Good point, they've killed thousands of children that weren't in hospital

isn’t that the consequences of war? deaths on both sides. one death is too many regardless which ‘team’ your on

I despise how you all on here blame Isreal without calling out Hamas and other terrorist parties.

More nonsense, nearly every poster on here has called out hamas, read the thread.
I have read the thread and if anyone with pair eyes reads it. you can see how certain posts excuse what Hamas are doing.
The other night was the hypocrisy of all. everyone jumping on saying 500 dead, hospital hit. then truth shows no hospital was hit and certainly not the 500 dead and 1000 injured like was said.

Hamas with disinformation doesn’t help the cause in a possible way but don’t see that being called out on here. in fact the crowd on here frothing at the mouth of the news other night are now quiet on the subject because it doesn’t fit their agenda now and proved wrong.

You've read the thread and came to a conclusion that contradicts what you've read, not surprised.

And again, Hamas's disinformation has been called out, I've done it at least twice.
You just think that calling out Israeli disinformation equates to supporting the Hamas narrative.

Do you think the UK government should have bombed northern Ireland in the 70s?

Frank Gardner just been on 5live, always a good listen on matters relating to the ME.
Unfortunately he paints a bleak picture of the future between these two.

Yup, just listened and he said wiping out Hamas won't work, because others will just take their place.

He said the only thing that will work is for both Israel and Palestine to have a proper home.

"EVERYONE jumping on?"

Complete exaggeration.

I, myself have not posted that I 100% believe that Israel did it, or that Hamas did it.

My logic of why I think Israel did it is down to them actually coming out and saying that Hamas hide in hospitals and that they would wipe out Hamas.

Seems perfectly logical to me that Israeli forces would indeed target a hospital.

They targeted a convoy of Palestinians fleeing the region the other day didn't they

They just seem very, very angry and very, very vengeful right now.

But I have never said it was definitely Israel.

Just seems very rational to believe it was

Let me put this another way

If Israel believed that say 200 Hamas fighters were hiding in that hospital amongst all those many hundreds of patients, they wouldn't consider attacking it at all? Price of war and all that. Collateral damage

Think it was Kizz on here who said whatever it takes to wipe out Hamas was acceptable.

You sure that the Israel armed forces and Netanyahu don't feel the same way?

I would love to see Hamas gone. 100%. But at what cost?
It will never happen. I’m old enough to remember when we’d defeated the Taliban. Whatever happened to them? It’s so much bigger than a specific number of people, it’s an ingrained mentality caused by many influences from circumstance of being born in Gaza. The only way you’ll rid the world of Hamas is by changing the circumstances in Gaza. Which there’s no appetite to do either from Israel’s current government or from the western governments.

I like you Tom have tried to stay silent, I have posted just a few things, not fully knowing which side to believe and only being concerned for the innocents on both sides, but you then get landed on if you haven't chosen a side from several people. I will go back to just reading this thread and hold my thoughts to myself
