Stumbled across the anti Israeli government demonstation in London today. It included a wide range of young kids and old people from across UK and was somewhere between 200-250k. Colourful, noisy and a few pyros too!
Where I was stood suddenly a dozen EDL type nutcases turned up waving England flags and singing 'Engerland' in demonstrators faces trying to get a reaction whilst being filmed by their girlfriends/wives. Bit of a scuffle but great restraint shown by demonstrators and some of EDL got arrested before they dragged themselves back to Weatherspoons in Leicester Square. All EDL type twats were pissed up and in their 50s and sounded like a bedraggled mix of brummies and yorkshire numbskulls. They were clearly organised though. Embarrassing.
Yeah but young people these days have no respect compared to the good old days.

He only backtracked because he fucked it up earlier in the week.

Supposed to be a human rights lawyer FFS….

David Lammy was not backtracking at all and supports the movement of Gaza population and Hamas are the block to achieve it

The threshold of which personal stories are considered believable seems to have shifted wildly in this thread for some reason.

There are people moving and there are people being bombed whilst they move.

Im not necessarily disagreeing I’m pointing out the comments - in fact there was hardly any difference to him or Cleverly - and before some smart arse makes an interpretation of that - I mean in his content - not anything else

What a truly, scummy, disgrace of a newspaper, is the Mail (Daily or Sunday. Both as bad)

This is the headline they have gone with? Seriously?

View attachment 32129

I agree, the pictures are sick, but the headline itself actually states TWO women amongst THOUSANDS.

And the pics are oh SO prominent aren't they, so prominent the paper has had to encircle them for us to readers to see them. 🙄 How were the police supposed to spot them amongst the thousands of protesters?

You can see the angle they are going for can't you and once again, they love to stir up hatred.

Right not to go all tinfoil hat. But who sellotapes badges to their back?

That's if you blindly believe his story , got their accents and everything

The oddest thing is Charles seemed to follow them and join them in Wetherspoons

Sounds like a George Orwell novel Charles

I suppose at least the UN isn’t trying to understate what’s going on. They said that the 24 hour evacuation was impossible, it was. They’ve now issued a statement the says “Gaza is being pushed into the abyss”. They’re still impotent though, doesn’t help that they’re being undermined by its members governments, like ours. Meanwhile Russia is trying to push it to the front of the UN’s agenda.

So will this get as many comments as a panicked reply when corner by an interviewer?

Nah

"A panicked reply"?

That's a poor justification, if Starmer didn't know he was going to get asked about the situation he's an idiot. Is he an idiot, would you say?

I'll help you. He's not. It was obvious he'd get asked about Israel, he wasn't ambushed.

So. The reason he's moved to this position now, is that he's realised that it's acceptable from electoral perspective. That's the only calculus that matters to Starmer. Panicked reply? Nah.

The interview I heard was on 5live not the one linked here.
That was at around 7.45 in the morning and he definitely would have had time to prepare. He was very hawkish, something it seems he's now rolled back on.

I get it you're never going to give him an credit.

Not acceptable from electoral perspective? In between the statements their lead in the polling went up. People are not going to vote based on this. If you think that the Israel/Hamas conflict and peoples views on it will effect the next GE then I have some magic beans to sell you.

Hmm I think you're underplaying that. It was one of the many sticks used to beat Corbyn with after all.

And if it had no effect, he could say what he felt like!

Many people didn't vote corbyn because they percieved him to be sympathetic with terrorist organisations

Surely that's a personal opinion , Netanyahu is as much a terrorist as say George Bush or Tony Blair 🤔
He’s sanctioned the indiscriminate killing of innocent people for his own agenda, surely the definition of someone who is a terrorist.
The other two probably too if you like.

So like I said a personal opinion , that's cleared up then

Hamas are the terrorists clint , end of story , they are also elected by the people in gaza , they voted for terrorism

Why does this forum love a terrorist

Again, Hamas do not represent all of Palestine. Israel has the people of the West bank living under similar conditions to Gaza.
Over a million people in Gaza are under 15, they've never had a vote but will suffer as a consequence of what is happening.

I've condemned Hamas consistently on this thread, (and linked articles which show Netanyanhu enabled them to weaken Fatah).

What Israel are doing is genocide by its very definition.

Hold on almost 60 % of people in gaza have a positive opinion of Hamas , when you consider so many are children then you'd say that is most adults opinion ..

The people voted in terrorists , israel are not the terrorists , some say they are , but some people also were sympathetic to the IRA cause etc ..

Never me though , they're terrorists

And Where's the help from their Arab neighbours? Nowhere

Shithouse cowards

Israel are terrosts in the same way the UK is a terrorist nation , we went and killed hundreds of thousands of innocent people based on a lie along with the USA
