Where have I said they will divert the route so everybody has to go a different way? . Unless you really think that out of however many hundred thousand they are going to teleport to the start of the route and then away from the end without being anywhere else in London at all.

You are so keen to try and act clever, read what I said.
i did and you were talking nonsense, you were wrong and most people would say ok and move on

I have pointed out that they managed to successfully stop what say at much bigger marches but if your "common sense" can supply the met with info then you'd better get on the blower mate

OK, not a single "pro palestine" person is going to be on the streets of London on Saturday other than on that route. You are completely right.

It really isn’t. I know it’s commonly referred to as Remembrance Day but they’re wrong. It is and always has officially been Armistice Day since 2018, the year the Armistice was signed on the 11th of November. Regardless of whether it’s a Saturday or not.

The Armistice was signed only 5 years ago?

Far be it for me to interrupt your little tete-a-tete, but isn't the main point that if anybody does head for the cenotaph to cause trouble, they'd be doing that irrespective of a march elsewhere or not?

And rogue individuals are not to distract from the ideal after all...

Exactly. This is a total distraction.

The government (Braverman especially) and some daily newspapers are stirring up trouble, based on the cenotaph supposedly being under threat and the "how dare they march on this day" nonsense.

Facts are, the marches have been happening every Saturday anyway and the march organisers have mapped out the route of the march, in conjunction with the police and are going nowhere near the cenotaph.

There just seems to be so much faux outrage.

No-one can stop individuals heading for the cenotaph, but the issue in the news and stirred up by the press and the government is one of they have decided to march in our day (how dare they) and the cenotaph being under threat.

The marches have passed off with little incident, but still, the hornet's nest has been stirred up.

They won't be able to head there as they are magicking to the start and finish line.

This is what I said further up about people wanting to cause trouble hiding behind a march and people wanting to cause trouble hiding behind a poppy.

My point is that it's much easier to blend in to a few hundred thousand extra people around the city, for either.

Nearly 11,000 dead Palestinians since the Hamas terror attacks in Israel.....

Over 4000 dead Palestinian children.

Over 25,000 seriously injured Palestinians

2 million innocent oppressed people forcibly displaced, starved & bombed from their homes.

Israeli leader clearly stating they will annex, occupy & steal the territory, despite the too little, too late whispers from the West calling for restraint....

......But according to our home secretary, its a hate march......

The only hate I've got is for her.....Fuck you Braverman.....I hope you get cancer of the c**t!

You just know that if any trouble does occur around the cenotaph then the likes of Braverman will be saying it's the people from the march regardless. Wouldn't surprise me if she's been going on at the Met to try and antagonise with kettling or whatever.

I can't say there won't be trouble there, though I obviously hope not, but chances are if there is it'll be individuals who just want to cause a bit of aggro rather than genuinely caring about the issue.

Across from the main stand at the deserted AEK Arena, the sight of 1,400 blue and white balloons swaying in the evening breeze stood as a reminder of Israel’s pain. Here in Larnaca, Maccabi Haifa were playing for more than three points in their Europa League group. That they almost got them on a night laced with emotion, pushing Villarreal to the limit before the Spanish team fought back from a goal down to win 2-1, mattered less than remembering the 1,400 innocent people murdered by Hamas on 7 October.

Haifa, Israel’s most diverse club, could not forget. While the memory of the atrocities committed by Hamas are raw, the trauma still present, the spirit remains strong, the symbolism of those balloons capturing it. With the colours of the Israeli flag on show and the Star of David proudly displayed in the middle of the arrangement, Haifa made sure to deliver their message.

Horrible c**t

Do we accept 9/11 as such based on your logic, Joe?

He's not getting it is he.

You have one very, very large military force. One of the major military forces in the world and they are pretty much just carpet bombing everywhere in Gaza

That is not defending yourselves and it is not within international law.

We condemn Russia for its actions, but they are not behaving in the same manner Israel is here.

The vast majority of victims in this sorry mess are women and children. There is zero justification for that. Zero. And that is NOT "the price of war."

This will be seen throughout history as a very dark time for the world and for how everyone just let Israel get away with such atrocities.

What Hamas did was utterly sickening and outrageous beyond all belief, but this response is so incredibly out of proportion.

You have to shake your head sometimes and ask yourself "are we really in the 21st century? Have we learnt nothing from the past?"

And the World Health Origination has just reported that a child is killed every 10 mins in Gaza at the moment. Every 10 minutes. Let that sink in just for a second.

No-one can defend that. No-one!

It's scandalous, truly awful and absolutely insane.

That is not the price of war. This goes way beyond the pale.
Coveys circle of influence though or we’d go mad

Not really sure how people are expecting the Israelis to respond here. They have to do something as hamas are still firing missiles from Gaza - and Lebanon.

If it was our kids/parents/wives etc. being tortured, raped and sadistically killed and the videos sent to our families, I'm sure we'd all be happy to turn the other cheek or talk about "measured responses" - although the reaction to Manchester Arena etc. makes me wonder if people here have any backbone left at all.

Significant elements of the "Peace" marches are hardline Islamist shouting for the anhiliation of Israel - Islamo-fascists in other words, former (?) hamas members among them. The remainder are sadly their white, virtue-signalling dupes - many of whom would find themselves be-burka'd or thrown from roofs if their masters got near power.

If the IDF hadn't stopped the slaughter on 7/10, hamas would still be at it now, only pausing for the odd tea break. There's a very good article by Ayan Hirsi-Ali on Unherd today talking about her journey to Christianity (via atheism), where she also refers to the clearly-stated goals of Islamists everywhere. The welfare of Jews - and other unbelievers - is definitely not a priority.

So good luck Israel. Had the boot been on the other foot, the Arabs would never have allowed a Jewish enclave to persist on their borders - and indeed they did not all throughout MENA where large Jewish communities had been in existence since Roman times - Baghdad, Tehran etc.

It's hard and brutal, but in such ways is history made - not by listening to ill-informed fucks in the west.

Let’s take everything you say as true, and to be clear, it isn’t. Why then do Israel kill people in the West Bank where Hamas have no influence? Why build settlements there in territory which even the US agree is not theirs? Why allow settlers to murder Palestinians living there?

So what you're saying is "good luck Israel, keep killing babies and children."

Lovely.

Come on then - let's hear your solutions.
There isn't a solution really now is there.

All that is happening now is that Israel is breeding a whole new generation of terrorists. The hatred of Israel is going to be much greater than it ever has been before.

I think Israel has every right to defend itself. This is way past that now though and they are also breaking international law.

If it was the UK and we were breaking international law, I would be the first on here saying that was wrong too.

This isnt helping. Israel is now just making the whole situation so much worse.

As, I say, I totally accept Israel has the right defend itself, but this is just indiscriminately wiping out thousands and thousands of people and isn't it something like 65% of the deaths are women and children?

That's an outrage.

So many people march because they think that's the only way they can be heard and to keep the situation in the news and in people's minds.

I don't think there is an answer unfortunately. But I do know what Israel are doing now is most definitely not the answer.

Well... the answer is that Israel withdraws from occupied territories, recognises a Palestinian state, and said Palestinian state and neighbours recognise Israel in return.

The annoying thing is, Israel's relations with some of its neighbours had been improving, and not so long ago it looked entirely possible we would get to a two state solution, so never say never.

Yes.

I mean there is no answer now because of what has happened. This has surely set things back decades

And you don't think killing thousands of children is going to creat even more anger and hatred?
It was literally already there and it's not going anywhere. The likes of hamas won't stop until the Jews are gone, which isn't going to happen. In reality it seems it has no end.
