For every one of those deaths there are family members who are sworn to hold a grievance against the country that caused them
There is no violent solution

There is always a violent solution to war. Depends if you are an adherent of Clausewitz.

What people forget is that Judaism doesn’t do the Christain “turn the other cheek”.

Judaism advocates an eye for an eye.

It’s currently at 12 eyes for an eye in this battle of the war

I'm sorry, but that's not a very accurate take on Judaism. In fact it's dangerously close to an anti-Semitic trope, I'd argue.

The actions of the State of Israel in Gaza are, to my mind, unconscionable war crimes. But that doesn't mean that Jews or Judaism as a whole can be blamed.

Ditto Hamas and their hideousness, and the attempt (by certain factions) to hold Islam and all Muslims to blame.

"Palestinians never wanted to have a state next to Israel."

Israel-Hamas war: Ambassador says Israel will not accept two-state solution

Note how she speaks about 'Palestine' and not 'Hamas'. It was never about them, it was just an excuse to commit genocide on the Palestinian people and the west supported this.
Ahh, Isreal. Helping recruitment for Hamas since 2023.

We could all see this coming, if Israel are looking to wipe Palestine off the map and the west are standing by and letting this happen. It's human nature to turn to the only people that will promise to stand up for you.

Hamas are a terrorist organisation but put yourself in the same situation. You being bombed every day, your family and friends are dying. The West are enabling and even funding this genocide, who else can you turn to?

“I’m sorry…..”

don’t be sorry for being wrong. But your apology is accepted.

At no point did I state that Jews or Judaism as a whole can be blamed, whereas I did point out that Israel’s actions can be understood through their perception of the world.

This started after the Holocaust and was continued after the newly created state of Israel was invaded immediately by 5 Arab nations. Understand this and you can see why Israel acts as it does, particularly because it lacks stratetic depth.

Please don’t parrot out “tropes” and then label them as “anti semetic”

Seriously mate, what the fuck are you on about?

If you put out some spurious bullshit about Judaism being the religion of "an eye for an eye", something that is most definitely used as an anti-Semitic trope, then expect to be challenged on it.

I'm apologising for your stupidity for repeating such obvious bullshit, and was trying to be moderately polite about it, but you're clearly a bit too thick to see that.

Genocide of farmers still occurring in SA
I think you need to read the definition of genocide.

I don’t wish to diminish what’s happening in the farming community in South Africa but you’re talking about barely 800 murders in 13 years and farmers of all races with the primary purpose being robbery. It’s not really comparable to the murder of over 20,000 people in a matter of months almost exclusively from one ethnic background and religion, which literally is the dictionary definition of genocide.

This on the Beeb today, 100 days on from the Hamas attacks.
The IDF eyes on the border warned their commanders that a big attack was likely.
Israel did nothing to increase the defence.
You will struggle to convince me that Netenyahu did anything to deter an attack so that he could use the excuse of "self defence" in annihilating the entire Gaza Strip. I have believed this from Day One, and here is the proof.
South Africa is right. Meanwhile we stand back and watch it happen.

I can think of quite a few similar scenarios, Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour and of course probably the most egregious Operation Barbarossa and Stalin.

This is small beer compared to Barbarossa. Anyway worth a watch.

The story of the Israeli footballer who plays for Haji Wright’s old club in Turkey is outrageous - he’s basically been forced to flee the country for trying to show support for the hostages in Gaza.

Looks like he'll be available on a free then. Worth a look.

That sucks. Take it out on the Israeli government, by all means, but not on individual citizens (or equally a random Jewish person in London) simply because you can't tell the difference.

So having sold the Saudis weapons to bomb the Yemenis for years we now think doing our own bombing will de-escalate the situation.
